We stayed one night and had the de Rosset and St Thomas rooms. Both were elegantly furnished, in keeping with this truly spectacular house. The downstairs rooms are really impressive, though completely over the top.The stairs are enormous and the ballroom on the 3rd floor worth a peak. Most of the furniture, mirrors, paintings are reproductions and it kind of... More

Liked the location (3 blocks from the historic river district). Surprisingly quiet (because of the stone building I would presume) and comfortable rooms. Unfortunately the attention to detail is lacking. A couple of examples: the room we were in had no hangers in one closet, an ironing board open in the second closet, again, no hangers, and there were no... More

The rooms were very nice and big. The breakfast in the morning was also very good. The only down side to this Inn is that it lacks any parking and you have to find a spot on the road to park. We did not have any trouble finding a spot about a block away but I'm not sure how open... More

While the reviews were helpful the room I stayed in needed updating. Worn and stained carpeting greeted me when I walked into the the room. The third floor was cold and the noise from airplanes made the stay unpleasant. Would not stay here again.

The wonderful thing about B&B's in general and the Graystone in particular is that no two rooms are alike. We have a frequent guest from Canberra, Australia that insists on that room as "her favorite" and will not be upgraded. However, since we are at the Inn, we can frequently move a guest to another room if the "perfect" room... More

My wife and I spent 2 nights here as part of a month long vacation to celebrate her retirement. We enjoyed walking the neighbourhoods, admiring the architecture and the gardens, even in early January. We felt like "old wealth" due to the classy accommodations and great service. The breakfasts were outstanding. Even the parking was not a problem as the... More

We stayed here as part of a Board meeting for an organization. The organization managed to book most of the rooms. Upon arrival, we were allowed early check in (on a Sunday). The home itself is beautifully restored and has lots of charm. Because of this, it is apparently the scene of many TVs shows and movies. I got to... More

The look of this place is what you would expect to see. It is clean and relaxed environment, perfect for our anniversary. The room we had was spacious and the bathroom was modern. We used the jacuzzi bath tub a couple of times too. Easy walking distance to the downtown area where you can get just about any kind of... More

We stayed at the inn for 4 nights. From the moment I picked up the phone to enquire about the dates and prices I couldn't ask for more - friendly, courteous and so welcoming. The house is simply stunning. As soon as you enter the entrance hall your jaw drops because it's such a beautiful space. We were shown to... More

We stayed at the Inn for 4 nights and it was one of the best B&B we ever stayed in. It is immaculate and Mary, one of the hotel staff, was friendly and helpful. Joanne, the manager was extremely pleasant and helpful. She gave us a ride to pick up a rental car and even loaned me her umbrella when it rained.... More

After searching for a venue for my Fiancé and I to stay, and for her to get ready with her bridal party for our wedding, we settled on the Graystone as our venue of choice. I decided to book as early as possible with plenty of time to plan, back in April of 2014. The woman I spoke to (leaving... More

The Graystone Inn hosts many Weddings, Receptions, and Bridal Luncheons in the spacious public rooms of the Inn. On any given weekend the Inn is blessed with two or three bridal couples who stay overnight at the Inn and are having their events at other locations in downtown Wilmington. Fortunately the Inn’s central location in Downtown Wilmington makes that very... More
