We spent one night in Wilmington, NC recently and stayed at the Graystone Inn. Although there are a few idiosyncracies (as I recall we had to wait until 4 pm for the inn to open in the afternoon), this is a very charming and unusual property. One definitely has the feeling that one is staying in a mansion belonging to... More

I as lucky enough to stay here on business this week. It felt like staying with a relative or an old friend. The hospitality was fantastic and breakfast was served to us by the owner who was so friendly. I was able to walk to the waterfront and several restaurants. I really enjoyed their recommendation of the Pilot House. I... More

Had fantastic stay at Graystone Inn. Richard was very friendly and provided excellent service. Great location - within easy walking distance of just about everything in downtown Wilmington. We stayed 3 nights during the NC Azalea Festival - and the location was perfect! Toured several historic homes, all within walking distance of the Graystone Inn. Inn was clean, room was... More

It doesn't take long to realize you're staying in a truly historic landmark as soon as you enter the front door of this Wilmington mansion. You can feel the elegance. As impressive as it looks, however, it is also warm and inviting, thanks to the friendly and unpretentious staff. My room was on the top floor with a dormer window... More

Despite the austere facade, this mansion is warm and cozy with luxurious rooms and fixings. Surrounded by beautiful antiques and artwork, there is the excitement of going back in time and witnessing what real luxury is all about. Start the day in the gorgeous dining room with an incredible gourmet breakfast and great conversation with other travelers. Hot and tired... More

My husband and I met another couple at The Graystone Inn and had a marvelous weekend during the NC Azalea Festival. Marcia and Rich were excellent hosts and the breakfasts were delicious! I agree with CAgadabout's review, you feel like you are "in a place normally reserved for the "rich and famous"."

Graystone Inn is not your typical B&B....it's an elegant mansion. Very clean and service top notch. The owners make you feel as if you hit the lottery and are now living in a place normally reserved for the "rich and famous". Best B&B we ever stayed in and look to return.

We stayed her for a couple of nights in the St. Thomas room, and loved it. The public rooms are quite large and beautifully decorated. Our room was a good size and had a lovely nook with window seats. It was sparkling clean everywhere. The gourmet breakfast was delicious and plentiful. We left there stuffed! The location is great -... More

My recent stay at the Graystone Inn was amazing! This historic 1905 mansion is incredible! The front garden is impeccably manicured and the mansion is beautifully furnished in period furniture throughout. The library is very comfortable and a great place to gather with friends to relax and talk. The guest rooms are comfortably appointed in beautiful furniture. Marcia and Richard... More

We did the midweek romance package... Two nights, wine, dinner for two at Deluxe, and of course breakfast in the morning. Huge B&B... Huge!!! The rooms were awesome, the set-up was great. Had an issue with our bill but they immediately resolved it. Parking wasn't an issue either. Walking distance to everything in Old Town Wilminton. We'll be back!
