We will be back for many years to come! The staff, Tara Room, location in the city all make this a one of kind gem! Pam and Jason did a great job answering any questions we had about the rooms, restaurants, & city in general. My boyfriend and I don't get much time off in the summer so we make... More

There were good reasons to stay here: excellent location, low rate, pet friendly. Then I must mention the super-nice staff, lovely landscaping, free water and snacks. The space was adequate. The bed was comfortable. It was nice to have a fridge and kitchen sink and to be able to walk my dog in the courtyard in the middle of the... More

Close to restaurants and bars and across the street from a quick mart, this inn is convenient and each suite has a theme. Snack and quick breakfast items in the lobby is a nice touch. But the rooms are tired-looking and the bed was abnormally hard. Overall this place is Inexpensive and well-situated with a separate parking lot, this inn... More

Thank you for your review. We were sorry to hear about your dissatisfaction with the appearance as we have just re-furnished the living room in that suite this past summer. We do appreciate the feedback on the mattress. We rely on guests to inform us as to when mattresses are in need of replacement. We hope to see you again. More

This is an older hotel that is well kept and very comfortable. It is not sleek like some of the high end hotels such as the Marriott or Hilton. The rooms are large and well equipped and the outdoor space is accessible and enjoyable. We made a picnic lunch with friends in their back garden. Aside from the basic comfort... More

Stayed 3 nights at this fabulous little "Bohemian" jewel in a terrific location. We could not have asked for anything else. We have stayed here many times and it never disappoints. The hotel is close to a lot of interesting nightlife and restaurants and has easy access to all the major roads to shopping and the beaches. There is a... More

My husband and I have stayed at the Wilmingtonian many times since 2005 and have never been disappointed. The rooms, service and location have always been what we wanted. It is a very nice clean historic place, low key, and has an old school charm elegance. Pam and the other lady (who I do not remember her name) went out... More

Large rooms, well located and good people. No real breakfast. Coffee, drinks, fruit, and muffins available all day long. No beach, no pool, no exercise area. Without a room safe and the dead bolt not working we did not feel security was sufficient. The room was dated, worn, while updates that were done showed low quality. New TV in bedroom... More

Thank you for your review. We do not advertise a continental breakfast, but we do have the following items available, with no limit, for free all day long: soda, water, juices, yogurt, muffins, fruit, popcorn, snack bars, etc. Unfortunately, the city of Wilmington has no beaches, but we are just a 15 minute drive to the town of Wrightsville Beach... The Wilmingtonian was perfect for our needs for one night in downtown. We were attending a friend's wedding one block down & we didn't want to have to drive after the wedding. The Wilmingtonian is a wonderful hotel that manages to preserve the quaint, classic feel of older Southern buildings while maintaining comfort with modern upgrades. In the Dram Tree House, I was pleasantly surprised at how large our suite was with a large living room/kitchen, bedroom, and bathroom with washer/dryer units. Both the living room and bedroom had TVs. The kitchen... More

On the positive side this hotel was charming and the location was great. The personel in the office were more than helpful and very nice. However, our rooms were not clean and there was trash under the sink which had a foul odor. The television remote in the living area did not work (needed batteries which were not readily available)... More
