If your looking for a gross ,roach infested and filty smelly hotel to spend a night look no further because this is it.This place without a doubt actually only needs one thing and that is to be condemed. Thier rude ignorant employees should`nt be working in the hospitality busness but instead on a farm shoveling horse [--]. I could go... more

Comfortable on a budget? Check. Quiet? Check. Cockroach in room? Check. Needed a cheap place to stay for a Memorial Day Weekend wedding in Wilmington. Tried to pick the cheapest one on the Market St. corridor that would still earn me airline miles. At the Econo Lodge our $90/night bought us a comfortable king-size bed in what seemed to be... more

We stayed here Memorial weekend 2009. Our hotel room smelled like urine, especially the bathroom it was really gross. The shower head is really low. To give you an idea I am only 5'1" and the shower head was to low for me. There was a live cockroach under the bathroom sink. The carpet left our feet pitch black. We... more

I have read review after review on this hotel and it appears that most of the people that stayed at this Econo Lodge wanted it to be like an luxurious island getaway, well it's not, but what the Econo Lodge does provide you with are the best rates in the Wilmington area, and it is the closest budget hotel to... more

I wish I had read some of the reviews before I booked two rooms there! I couldn't find anything else because there was a golf tournament that weekend, and my family was in town for a wedding. The rooms were filthy, the staff rude, and they did not provide towels when asked. We were so glad to leave- but it... more

A group of girls and I go on a yearly beach trip and we typically stay at average priced hotel/motels. It changes yearly. This year it just so happened to be the Econo Lodge on 2929 Market Street in Wilmington, NC. We've never ran into any trouble until this year. We had horrible customer service, and woke the first morning... more

As a former frequent business and personal traveler, I've stayed at many hotels across the country and in Europe. This Econolodge was by far the WORST hotel I ever stayed in. The pictures shown on the sidestep website are very misleading. The room reeked of carpet fresh so much so that I had an allergy attack and had to go... more

This is a basic motel, no frills and inexpensive. My room was clean and comfortable. If you want a room with expensive towels and perfumed soap go elsewhere but for a good value and a decent place this is a good choice. Hotel staff were pleasant, common areas were clean and the attractions we wanted to visit were nearby. One... more

Not sure why some people are complaining about this hotel. It was nice and quiet. It looks as though they have recently renovated and maybe under new mngt because we had a very pleasant stay here and will stay here again the next time we are in town. No problems with this hotel. more

I called this place (I can't bring myself to call it a hotel or a motel) two months ago to make reservations for our family because my son was graduating from UNCW. We have always stayed at Choice Hotels, not only because my mother-in-law has been a head housekeeper and housekeeper manager for the past 16 years for them, but... more
