Our club recently booked a group stay at the Inn. The rooms were clean and tastefully decorated with much attention to detail. Richard and Polly were most accomodating to allow our group to gather several times in the common areas of the Inn. Location was extremely convenient and within walking distance to most everything in Wilmington's historic district. We will... More

The hosts made the decision to choose this option a no-brainer. Friendly service, delightful breakfast and enough suggestions to make a short visit full of variety. The location near everything in town is a bonus. You can see the water and it is only a short one block walk to the extensive and inviting Riverwalk. The grounds are private, right... More

My wife and I spent two nights here in January. It was our first time at the Inn but when we walked in it was like we were old friends. Richard greeted us with a smile and with in minutes we were being shown around the inn. Although it was January, we were blessed with pleasant weather for that time... More

Richard and Polly have developed the only property in downtown that is worth a stay. The rest are either overpriced or not up to their standard. Every room has a unique atmosphere with furnishings and décor. The street end of the building tends to be less quiet because of the street noise but it is not a deal breaker.

We stayed here for one night as part of a touring holiday in October - we were lucky to get the last room as we hadn't booked! Our room was beautifully decorated with great attention to detail - as is everywhere in the inn - and had everything you could want. Breakfast was just right for us and the homemade... More

Excellent place. Beautiful rooms and general atmosphere. Friendly hosts. Great location. Breakfast with homemade quiche. Will return to Wilmington partly just to stay in this wonderful Inn again. And at this review needs to be 200 characters so I'm adding this sentence.

My husband and I live in Wilmington but since the downtown area is so unique and charming we often go there for a one night or weekend getaway. We chose the Front Street Inn because it had its own unique charm in that it was built in the 1920 and was once a Salvation Army. The owners are Richard and... More

We had a great time. Stayed in sept 2013 for the weekend and had couples massage arranged on site. All amenities were very thoughtful and pleasant. Rooms were clean and ours included a charming little balcony overlooking the street, with the water in the distance. Perfect for a romantic weekend!

We thoroughly enjoyed our three night stay at the Front Street Inn. We were there for a wedding and it was a great place to stay for many reasons. Our room was beautiful and very comfortable. The owners are very very nice. The breakfast is served buffet for two hours and was delicious. Polly makes wonderful quiche! The location is... More

Location is fantastic and the service is outstanding . Innkeepers are so friendly and accommodating . I arrived quite early and was quickly shown to my room. I passed one on the way that I liked more and he graciously moved me to that room. Breakfast was great, enjoyed in the beautiful sunroom overlooking the quiet and pretty backyard
