My wife and I were in town looking around for a place to retire to. We stopped at the Carolinian because of the price and were greeted by a very nice gentleman that was retired and working there part time. He was very helpful and informative. My husband and i read The Carolinian website that read "For stay you won't forget and hospitality beyond your expectations, North Carolina's most relaxing lodging destination, the Carolinian Inn," and were very excited because we had such low rates! This was the worst hotel I've ever been at. It seemed great at first, cheap, looked clean, they even had lots of kids swimming in the pool.
