My husband did a tour of bed and breakfasts in the western part of NC.This was our fist stop. We stayed two nights and could have easily extended it had we had the time. The lodge was very clean and inviting. The food, especially the breakfasts, were wonderful and filling. The view from the picture window from the dining hall... More

We reserved our room a month before the trip and was told to call the night or day of our arrival. Because we are traveling 6 hours away, we called around 7am and was told to call back after 9am as they are still in bed. I realized they do not have 24 hr staff as it is family run... More

This B & B is definitely not closed and worth a visit. This was such a nice find and a very special place. Nancy was such an excellent host and she offered lots of suggestions for places to visit in the area as well as shared some of the interesting lore. For the included breakfast, you had a full menu... We had a great stay at the lodge. We arrived at 11:45 pm, and they accommodated our late arrival without any hesitation. When we woke up the next morning, we were greeted with a warm smile and coffee. We were able to enjoy the gorgeous view from a glider-bench and sip on fresh coffee. Breakfast was delicious, and the server... More

I panicked when I read the review stating that this B&B is closed. We have a reservation there this weekend and so when I read the comment about them being closed I immediately called them. They are NOT closed! I spoke to the innkeeper and there was a miscommunication between her and S M regarding the code to get in.... More

made reservations a month ago. tried to call AM of arrival to confirm. could not get VM or human. got to gate after dinner and found it closed. no access code given. no way to get through, so assumed it is out of business. will call BBB and credit card company to report fraud.

The friendliness of the owners and restaurant staff was my favorite part of our stay. The family made us feel like welcomed friends. The food is fantastic! Although we did not have the opportunity to eat dinner at the lodge, we heard nothing but rave reviews from other guests who did. For breakfast, guests order from a menu, but the... More

My Husband and I were in desperate need of a getaway and this was the place to do it! The atmosphere is relaxing, peaceful, and the staff is great, to include Topie and Ethel, one of the resident cats and the resident chicken! So cute and friendly! :)

We live in SC and had my wife's in-laws in town to stay. We wanted to take them away for the week end and found Tuckasiegee River Mountain Lodge on Groupon. It turned out to be a great choice as the lodge is in a nice location close to the national park and many hiking and waterfall trails. It also... More

Where are we going? This was the question as we passed through the gate and started the climb up the winding road. Over a mile later we found out, as we came out at the Tuc Lodge as we called it, and what met us was the Smoky Mountains living up to their name, as the mist swirled around the... More
