I had never visited White lake or Elizabethtown in my life, but had read many reviews of people saying it was awesome ( clear beach, blue lagoon type, safest beach in the nation, etc.) The truth is that upon entering Langston's Motel I immediately gave it 2 stars, but upon leaving I gave it 4 stars and that is why... For $80 bucks a night you would think you can at least, get extra towels and wash cloths. They told us they could not accommodate us with extra and to hang the old ones up. The lady at the front desk was Very nasty our whole stay. Threw the keys at us, sucking teeth as if we had done something to... More

We decided to stay in White Lake and go hiking at Lake Waccamaw and a few other nearby state parks on Easter weekend. The motel is right on White Lake. It has a sandy beach (but if you are imagining big expanses of sand, be forewarned: the beach is only about 50 feet wide--every motel or house has claimed their... More

One of my relatives stayed here for a week. I visited them frequently. Great location. Rooms were decent. There beach was clean. Easy access to the water. And very close to the pavilion. My brother in law already booked for next year. I would recommend.

The location is what sells this place. We stayed over the weekend and ended up near the road (all they had available). Short walk to the water and dock. Hotel looks to have been built in 60s - and not much has changed since then. Room had a small kitchen (with one eye not working on the stove), full size... More

Arrived for our weekend stay, went to check in and they had booked our room after cashing our $110.00 deposit check. They refused to let us speak to owner or manager or release his name. Tried to make it out to be our fault and showed no remorse though it was 8:00 & we had 3 hungry crying children. We... More

First time back to White Lake in several years. Stayed at Lanston's. Motel apartments are right on the water. Not very impressive. Fairly clean. Don't expect a lot of amenities. Although for the price, pretty good bargin for two bedrooms. Maybe 50-75 ft from the shore line. Only take cash and had to pay when we arrive. Did have a... More

This is a great motel if you do not care about fire hazards. The light bulb was 6 inches from wooden cabinet and the front door to the room was a hollow core door, like an interior door in a house, and there was no sprinkler system either. The motel was probably built in the 50's and they have some... More

Its a great family place! theres a wonderful pier out on the water. Sure its not the cleanest place to stay but theres nothing luxurious on white lake. You get to meet alot of people and theres always kids there for your kids to play with. We go every year! Love it!
