Who would guess that hidden around this quiet cottage exists a magical garden? Beatrix Potter kept coming to mind - an English cottage garden. For me, that was what it was about, but there's so much more - the rooms and furnishing that speak of another time, home cooked breakfasts from scratch (biscuits, zucchini bread...). It was restful, breathtaking and... More

Charming B + B with awesome garden and mountain view. It was just outside of town so it was quiet and comfortable. Breakfasts were great, too with fresh fruit every day. Each one was different. Would definitely recommend.

June 2014 My daughter and I stayed for one night at Meadowsweet Gardens for a Mother/Daughter getaway to the West Jefferson area for kayaking on Friday and shopping on Saturday. The Meadowsweet Gardens (bed and breakfast the next morning) was the perfect place to stay! The property is beautiful as well as the house and and we enjoyed walking around... More

We so enjoyed our mother daughter guests and glad you had a lovely time. Ken actually knew the mom'sgrandfather as he had grown up in West Jefferson so there was lts of memories to talk about. Please come back again and stay with us. More

We stayed the weekend at the Meadowsweet Gardens. We arrived Friday evening and stayed through Sunday morning. The grounds were breathtaking! My eyes couldn't take everything in. They had a beautiful flower garden and vegetable garden. A well kept pond that they have stocked with trout. Several outdoor and enclosed porches to sit and take in all the beauty. I... More

We stayed one night on our Christmas tree cutting trip. West Jefferson is a nice little mountain town and is surrounded by "choose & cut" tree farms. The inn is only 4 miles from town. The rooms here are good size and comfortable, and fully decked out with Debra's down home decorations. Debra and her husband are so outgoing and... More

We got a chance 1 night stay away from home with no kids. We always have loved staying in B&B's, but hadn't in quite some time. We found Meadowsweet Gardens online and after speaking to Debbie on the phone, I thought that this would be the perfect spot to spend the night. It was much more than a bed and... More

We ended up at the Meadowsweet Gardens B&B because we made our plans late and all the places in Blowing Rock were full or way over priced. Sure glad we did! It's a nice B&B and the hosts are great friendly down to earth people. The grounds around the inn a beautiful and I plan to come back in the... More

This lovely old farmhouse is perfectly located in Ashe County NC. You can travel to West Jefferson and Todd in minutes. Even Boone & Blowing Rock are a short drive. This is truly a place to relax. Beautiful gardens surround this inn and the proprietors are very friendly and helpful. We enjoy every visit there.

We have stayed at Meadowsweet Inn on several occasions in different seasons of the year. Consistently we have been very pleased with our experiences. The environment is charming, the food is excellent. We now consider the proprietors our friends! We look forward to our visit in January 2014.

My wife and I recently met up with some family members in North Carolina and choose to stay at Meadowsweet Gardens instead of just staying in a regular hotel room. This place is exactly what a good B&B should be! The moment you drive up you are greeted by a beautifully manicured landscape with lush flower gardens, a pond and... More
