Overall it wasn't too bad. Place is set high on a hill overlooking a pretty view. Rooms were clean, you can just tell there wasn't much effort in painting etc. Front staff wasn't very friendly but it could've been worse. If you're looking for a cheap stay at a decent hotel, you've got it.

The picture displayed here and on the internet is not a picture of the real hotel. This hotel used to be a Roadway Inn. Apparently the hotel owner did not tell the travel agency we booked with about this fact. Why would you stay at a hotel that doesn't look like the hotel you booked. I think this is deceitful!!... My wife and I stayed here over the weekend. It was the cheapest hotel in the area so we were hoping it would be decent. It was not. The room wasn't bad for $50 / night, but there are several things to point out. The website states that rooms have a fridge, it did not. They accept pets and the... More

The rooms are clean and very comfortable and the staff and front desk personnel are helpful, kind and cater to their guests! The rooms may not be the fanciest, but the beds are very comfortable and the grounds as well as rooms are clean. The rooms all have private balconies as well and the views are beautiful. Very central to... More

We did not make advance reservations to see the fall leaves colors in NC. What a huge mistake! Everywhere we called was booked. We called every hotel in a 50 mile radius. Relax Inn in Waynesville was a little hard to find on the internet because they have recently changed franchises apparently, but we found them. The manager (or possibly... More

Renovated and great view. Will come back on my next visit. I am very happy with the recent updates and it's close to Main St. Sagebrush Steakhouse was also very good for dining close to our hotel. The staff was very friendly.

My wife and stayed at the Relax Inn and had a pleasant time. It's not fancy but it is clean, reasonably maintained and the proprietor was genuinely helpful. Unfortunately, his extended family does not speak fluent English and not all is as it seems when you think that they understand that you plans have changed and you are leaving one... More

Located high on the mountain it is nice to sit on the porch and rock. Front desk night staff not very friendly. Rooms are fair. Pool was open but needed to be cleaned lots of spiders and bugs in the water. Only two bath towels on room had to go to front desk to get more.

We chose to stay here for one night after a full day of driving. The hotel was conveniently located on top of the hill. I was fortunate enough to meet the owner and he explained to me that this property was previously rundown by the previous owner and that he had put in a lot of time and money into... More

I had a friend coming in to town for a visit and we tried Super 8 first but they didn't have a big enough room available. So we took them to Rodeway Inn. They got a room but ended up leaving within a half-hour with a full refund. They asked for non-smoking but the room smelled of smoke; was extremely... More
