We stayed at the Grandview Lodge while visiting relatives in Waynesville. We booked for three nights but ended up extending our stay and the owners were very accommodating. Our room was clean and the beds were quite comfortable. They serve a delicious breakfast every morning. The fresh apple juice is a treat. We will definitely return!

Recently I booked this property for three nights with three other hikers. The property is very rustic yet comfortable. The breakfasts were good and of good quantity, OJ, biscuits, bacon, egg dishes, coffee, etc. The young owners are making some improvement to this old inn and will expend lots of energy and money taking it to a higher level. I... More

If you want a five star resort with golf course view, this is not the place you are seeking. If you are looking for a retreat back to simpler times where guest mingle in common areas and your room is a comfortable retreat at the end of the day, this is the place. We arrived last minute and late evening... More

My husband Jeff and I have had a rough couple of months. Jeff had shoulder surgery and I have had some sickness in my family and between the two, we needed to get away for a while and just unwind. So we ran away from home. While hotels and motels offered by the chains are nice and have their place,... More

We met the owners, a young couple who have taken over this hotel, they have done a lot of work and are in the process of renovating it more. Its out of the way and surrounded by trees. A clean comfortable room with comfortable beds, the owner explained there was a problem with the air con and he was waiting... More

My husband and I stayed at the Lodge a couple of years ago. Remembering the excellent breakfast and good service, I made reservations for this month (June, 2014). We were surprised to meet the new owners, but delighted by their warm welcome, their sharing of personal goals in moving to Waynesville, and their attention to our needs. I found the... More

I really enjoyed this place. The young couple that run it are very attentive and work hard keeping the old lodge clean and inviting. It is not in the woods but the surrounding neighborhood of houses gives a lot more sense of woods than a crowded campground. It is five minutes from downtown Waynesville. I hope the young entrepreneurs that... More

Let me begin by saying this stay did not end the way it began. My son and his fiance who is from Waynesville were looking for a location for the reception for their wedding as well as a location for the family on our side to stay during the weekend. My son picked the Grandview Lodge. After the contracts were... More

Enjoyed our stay at the Grandview. It's not a fancy place, but it was very clean and comfortable. Our host was very personable and the breakfast was great. The lodge was built in 1890 and it has that rustic, old time feel. The current owner just took over in October 2013 and he has done some updating. The location was... More
