A lot of thought and effort has gone into the functioning of the Grandview Lodge. The results are appealing and comfortable. You do not always anticipate receiving such warm and personal attention, much less attention to detail. Our room was very large and well appointed right down to the persian carpets. I had heard the included breakfast was a masterpiece,... More

Owner Jeffrey at the Grandview Lodge, Waynesville, NC made our stay most enjoyable. Offering a great place to relax and including the outdoor fire pit. Accommodations were rustic, well appointed to the Smoky Mountains and Morning Breakfasts were excellent. A vast library and music collection, made for some great choices for entertainment. Close to Central downtown and a few great... More

Decided to take a last minute trip to the mountains with my dog and reserved a room at this place. The room was clean, cozy and inviting. The location of this B and B is like being in your own private mountain getaway but less than 10 minutes to downtown Waynesville. The breakfast consisted of eggs with cheese, grits, biscuits... Our Snowbird friends group picked this lodge in Waynesville for a summer weekend. Waynesville is a great small town with very good restaurants and beautiful mountains. The lodge was not quite what we expected; one couple is trying to do way too much and need more help. If having the grounds beautifully tended is important to you, then this isn't... More

My wife and I met with other family members to take three of the Grandview's rooms. We were in the Delanoy, a spacious and well appointed room with a beautiful sleigh bed. Other reviewers have noted that the Grandview is not fancy with five star amenities. What it was for us, however, was a five star experience. No problems with... More

We loved it!!! We decided on Grandview for a romantic weekend retreat on Memorial Day weekend,.... best decision ever! Just to clarify among any previous reviews that seem critical, this is an older facility with modern updates. Do not expect fancy room service with five star amenities, this isn't that type of venue. What you should expect is a laid... More

My wife and I stayed here with our daughters of 1 and 3, in the Gustave-Julia room, upstairs in the main house. Jeffrey and Breanna are a charming couple with a fascinating backstory--too good to spoil here!--and they made us feel thoroughly welcome. The whole place has a delightful, rustic feel, with a big front porch and even a record... More

My wife and I were returning to Indianapolis after a week on the South Carolina coast. Initially we were looking for a basic motel room at a chain motel but in further looking we found the Grandview Lodge in Waynesville, NC. We found a great place with a great host, wonderful food and a very comfortable room. My wife and... More

Stayed in 2013 and were not enamored, but that was BF..before Jeff. He and his staff have taken the lodge over in the past year and turned it around....redecorated, comfortable, cleaned up, superb customer service, awesome fresh cooked breakfast....excellent pride in ownership. We have a dog and there are pet friendly rooms with plenty of room to walk your pet... More

Previous reviews are spot on in saying you would feel like you're staying in someone's home, the bedrooms just having outside entrances! Our room, The Colonel Love, felt like we were in a cabin.....it was on the end and was pet friendly, quiet and perfect for our two four-legged traveling companions. Jeffrey made us feel right at home immediately. The... More
