We recently stayed at the Old Stone Inn and thoroughly enjoyed our visit. The room could use a bit of an update but that did not take away from our stay. The breakfast, included in the room rate, was really good - a true hot country breakfast - ham, eggs, grits, biscuit and juice. Everything that you could want and... More

Traveled there prior to 2012 .... TripAdvisor won't let me go back that far. The Old Stone Inn is a lil piece of heaven close to so much! The rooms are delightful, the staff is amazing and its a wonderful place to relax, get away and enjoy a peaceful time! PS the butternut squash soup is to die for!

This review is about the lodging only, not the dining facility. We rented a cabin for one night only (thank God). To start, there are 2 driveways to the lodge: pretty bad; and worse! The walkway leading to the cabin is an accident looking for a place to happen. No phone(OK). No clock(c'mon!) The night light motion sensor for the... More

If you like rustic accommodations and a quiet place to get away this is the place to go. The restaurant is also an added plus. The Old Stone Inn is pet friendly with no pet fee. This enables us to take our dog. We always try to plan at least one trip a year to Old Stone Inn.

From the time we drove up and was pleasently greeted by the Inkeeper, Elizabeth, to the time we departed, after great pecan french toast, it could not have been abetter experience. The atmosphere is of an old Inn, so you are not going to find 1000 count linens, but you will find a great cottage like feeling. We happend to... More

We wanted a weekend get-a-way from the hussle & bussle of our busy lifes and we got it at the Old Stone Inn in Waynesville! When we decided to get out of town, Maggie Valley seemed to be a great place with a quiet, cozy feel but we didn't expect the best experience being the lodge. We chose a King... More

I don't know what the other reviewers are smoking, but there is only one term to describe the "Old Stone Inn" RUN DOWN!!! From the driveway, to the walk ways, to the cabin's themselves. The whole place is in need of a serious rebuild or demolition. I'm sure it was "state of the art" back in 1946, but in 2013... More

Did not stay at the inn but it is a regular stop when I'm in Waynesville and want to DINE with friends. This is a place where you can have a drink, take your time, enjoy your company and have a leisurely dinner. It's a special place , the ambiance is lovely, and I highly recommend it. Take off your... We recently decided to stay at the Old Stone in to rest up the night before our triathlon, and are very happy the decision. There were 3 of us racing, and the two bedroom two bathroom lodging was excellent, especially at the price. The inn is a gorgeous mountain retreat within walking distance of downtown Waynesville, which has lots of... More
