The room I got, despite the other reviews, was actually pretty cool. I didnt have any complaints, other than the internet was poor. The room had a very dated look, but the furniture was hardwood, and had glass tops. Pretty sweet if I do say so myself. I am a contractor looking for cheaper hotels, and this one was within... More

Don't waste your time or money! This place reeks of mildew. The carpet was tacky and musty. I couldn't stand to stay here because of the smell in the room. We were out by 6 in the morning because I couldn't stand another minute in the room. Seriously outdated. The woman who checked us in was very UNFRIENDLY. I won't... More

Lovely owner Dorothea, and the housekeeper Kathy has been there for 27 years and knows every nook and cranny. The motel is OLD. They cannot make the rooms bigger for you. If you want resort conditions, then go away and stay in a $250 a night resort. I loved talking to the owners, I did not mind the tiny room.... More

This is an example of a Smokey Mountain quirky and kitchy hotel. Tucked away between Waynesville and Maggie Valley - this hotel has a unique texture of the surrounding hills. The owners were warm and welcoming and went out of their way to ensure our comfort. Good value, convenient and near beautiful areas to explore.

I stayed at this motel for a period of 2 nights while on a motorcycle trip to the mountains of NC and TN. While it met the requirement for wi-fi this particular hotel left much to be desired. My room was very musty smelling and I even went to the local K-Mart to purchase Febreeze to freshen the room. This... More

Stayed 2 nights. Only needed the room for sleep and shower b/c I was on my motorcycle during the day. The price was right, but the place is really out dated. The smell as you enter the office is from a cat. Pretty bad. Will I stay again ? Not unless I have no other choice.

This is a nice quaint place. It needs some updating but was a nice place to stay. Don't expect any amenities, no shampoo just bar soap and no refrigerator. They need to update the beds and decor but otherwise it was nice. We did have internet access but we had to stay in room closest to office. Overall not bad.

We just stayed at this hotel (1) night only over the weekend and it was TERRIBLE! This place is very old, musty smelling, outdated and our room was downright nasty! There was very thick dust on the furniture, the bathroom only had a shower that was in horrible shape and full of mold (we didn't use it) and the bathroom... More

Stayed here when arriving late one night; place in Maggie Valley I originally had in mind was closed. Very quiet and quite clean. Got some great recommendations for things to do in the area. Not too much in amenities (no internet, for example), but I didn't need much, and was quite happy to not have to pay for those. Would... More
