My husband and I had no idea if we'd made a terrible mistake in trying to find Valle Crucis and the Mast Farm Inn when we were winding our way south after a work trip to Pennsylvania. Daylight was rapidly dwindling as we turned onto another windy, 2-lane road and with poor cell service I began to get more and... More

We recently stayed two nights in the Black Smith Shop cabin. This is an old log structure ( presumable was a black smith shop ) converted into a guest room. It's rustic and old but equipped with both air conditioning and heat. The shower was hot with good water pressure. Some of the light fixtures were questionable and needed a... More

My husband and I usually prefer hotels to B&Bs, but this one is different, and truly exceptional. The place is run by very friendly and competent people, who leave no detail unnoticed. You feel more like a hotel guest, because you have a lot of privacy, your own table for meals, etc, but you do feel like you're in a... More

Mast Farm Inn had the most delicious breakfast each morning with coffee delivered to your room. Definitely make dinner reservations as well. Dinner was fresh, unique, local and out of this world. The staff was authentic friendly and happy to work there. They were also more than accommodating and helpful. There is a fun bar area as well. The grounds... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our overnight stay at the Mast Farm Inn. The service was super, the inn is quiet, clean, and sooo comfortable. And the food is out of this world. We had one of the best dinners we can remember.

My husband and I recently had the rare opportunity to have a child-free getaway. We wanted peace and quiet and we found it. As others have said, the Mast Farm Inn is a lovely and well-cared for Inn in the middle of Valle Crucis. Valle Crucis is a beautiful and historic valley near Boone with charming churches, farms, cabins, and... More

We just returned from staying 3 days in "Mam's Refuge" which is a private cabin on a hill overlooking the main inn. We were traveling with our adult daughter with disabilities who uses a wheelchair. I did not check accessibility of the cabin when I booked. We were disappointed to have 8 steep stairs to climb to even get to... More

We stayed at The Mast Farm Inn went we picked up a child from Appalachian State. It is clean and well kept. Breakfast was very good - the oatmeal is to die for. The Joe Mast Room was perfect for our family of 3.

We stayed in one of the adorable cottages, the Woodwork shop for two nights. We thought the setting was fabulous and the meals were scrumptious. We arranged to have a charcuterie tray brought to us when we checked in. It was a delightful mix of scrumptious cheeses, olives, a yummy homemade relish, and some meats. We loved it. We took... More
