Beautiful/majestic views from rooms and porch, relaxing, comfortable, delicious b-fast, family atmosphere. Staff make you feel like a part of their family. Landscaping is unreal. We plan to return @ least annually as one of our favorite fam-vaca spots.

The lodge was beautiful and peaceful. The inn keeper was very welcoming. I had a great time. Her breakfasts were outstanding. I look forward to returning next year. The view from our room was so pretty and breathtaking. Anne made us feel right at home. She has a dog who was very friendly. I felt relaxed while staying there. I... More

My husband and I, both seniors, had a fantastic time at The Lazy Bear Lodge B&B. Ann, Lilly & Bella ( the LARGE friendly dog) were most welcoming. Our room had it's own private balcony with two large Adirondack chairs with cushions, geraniums and other potted plants made the space charming. The best, however, is the view over the mountains.... What sets Lazy Bear apart from other B&B's are the owners & the super-helpful, friendly staff. Anne is warm, gracious & welcoming without being intrusive. She steered us toward a great day on the Virginia Creeper Trail, a 17 mile (mostly downhill) bike ride on a converted rail line through the woods with a nearby stream. She also was wonderfully... We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend stay at the Lazy Bear Lodge. We were there for the Blood Sweat and Gears ride and the owners were so accommodating. We brought our 13 year old daughter with us and they graciously provided her with an air mattress. She loved it and sweet Bella. Mark and Anne were very personable and we enjoyed... More

Arrived in the dark and pouring rain, but that didn't stop us falling in love with this charming place. Fabulous view albeit through the rain and mist, but the sound and smell of the rain was fantastic. Sat on our terrace watching flying squirrels and fireflies dancing in the trees. Very hospitable family run B&B, breakfast was lovely. Shame it... More

Stayed one night in early April. Met at the front door by Bella the Newfoundland and Anne, the innkeeper and hostess. Both were wonderful features of our stay at the B&B. Orientation involves Bella performing a number of her tricks. The lodge is in a private location on the side of a mountain with breathtaking views of Appalachian scenery. The... More

This is a wonderful place to stay with warm and caring management. Our room had a king size bed, fireplace, and large bath with shower and jacuzzi tub. The breakfast was cooked to order and was delicious! Looking forward to going back very soon. Charlie & Nancy P.

We were looking for a place with a mountain feel, and found it at Lazy Bear. The fireplaces and wood logs were just right, and the view is amazing. We highly recommend Lazy Bear lodge for a mountain B&B.

Routinely one of the top rated B&B's in this portion of North Carolina, the Lazy Bear is perched above a pretty stream valley, surrounded by trees and beautiful scenery. With only 5 rooms lodging is limited but the rooms are comfortable, well-appointed, and moderately priced for the area. 4 of the 5 rooms are upstairs, so those with impaired mobility... More
