My boyfriend and I (we're in our twenties) recently spent a night at the Lazy Bear Lodge. It was a wonderful experience! We stayed in the hummingbird room---great views, amenities, and the overall feel was very inviting. The owners were very hospitable; they made us feel welcomed yet respected our privacy at the same time. The breakfast was fantastic! Lots... More

When I return in April, it will be my third visit to this exceptionally wonderful Bed and Breakfast. Anne goes out of her way to make your stay one of a kind and you feel so comfortable just as though you were in your own home. Lovely rooms, delicious food and even a massage which is a real treat. Very nice. This was our 1st stay and we would love to return. Room & common areas great, as was the breakfast. Nice view; wild life in wooded area; we saw 5 deer from our balcony. More

We had one of the rooms at the rear of the inn and although a little small (with a slightly small bed), it was comfortable, peaceful, had a good bathroom and truly wonderful views of the mountains from our balcony. The main, shared room and outdoor area also have stunning views and are lovely places to sit and look at... More

This place is great. Guy's, this is a great place to take your lady friend or wife. My wife and I just spent our anniversary there. I called ahead and Anne, the innkeeper, picked up a wonderful cake and flowers for me. Talk about service! Anne is wonderful and goes the extra mile to make your stay great. Breakfast is... More

From the minute you walk up the sidewalk and hear the waterfall then walk through the front door and hear soft music playing and catch a glimpse of the view you know you found serenity. Anne makes you feel right at home and she's very accommodating to your needs. She was born to be an InnKeeper. This is our second... More

We escaped the heat of South Carolina to enjoy the mountain air and recharge our batteries. We booked the Garden room at the Lazy Bear lodge. The room was very relaxing with great looking hard wood, a gas fireplace with electric switch, a jetted tub with separate shower, and one of the cushiest plush beds we ever slept in. We... More

Terrific place to get away & relax! Anne & Mark are the most personable & friendly innkeepers around! The breakfasts are divine! Try the stuffed french toast - the best! If dinners are offered on the weekend, you definitely don't want to miss that. The rooms are extremely comfortable, clean, spacious, relaxing & more than you would expect for the... More

Our family (husband, wife, adult daughter) were searching for an Inn or Hotel, in the mountains, with a magnificent view, laid back atmosphere, away from crowds, but close to a population center with good restaurants, etc., fully expecting to be disappointed without a concentrated search and without prior search. Boy, were we wonderfully surprised. Located in Valle Crucis, just outside... More
