We stayed in a camping cabin for 2 nights, so that we could visit the Biltmore House. The cabins are in the back section, across the small "river", which is more like a stream (very fun to wade in!) Our cabin was in a shady spot and near the bathrooms/showers, which were clean. There were plenty of places to walk... More

Yes, it is right off the highway, yes there is a train nearby, and yes the quarters are slightly cramped, so if you are looking to go out into a secluded area and camp, this is not for you. There is lots to do. Fishing, swimming, gaming, taking a hike, you name it, it's there. Had a great time with... More

I spent 5 days at this campground. Every morning we were awakened by a train at 4am and every hour (at least) after that. Not sure what time the last train comes through, but I think we heard one around 10pm one night? The tracks are directly across from the entrance to the campground and the train whistle is LOUD!!... This is a fantastic site dimmed only by the management's lies and false statements to get you into a space. The Norton motorcycle owners club booked most of the site - wait, management says they booked the entire site - for the week. When we booked our 6 days we were told that we would be put on a waiting... More

Stayed Fourth of July weekend. Rented a "deluxe" cabin. It was on the back side of the property and our view was a graveyard of stored campers and a wood chipper. Yeah. The train is loud. LOUD. So don't feel like you're gonna be in tune with nature. You're not. Camp advertises tubing. That's a stretch. You can tube at... More

We stayed in a cabin on the lake. This was a great trip that lasted 3 days. The kids had a great time fishing, playing in the river, and just exploring the property. It is a 50 minute drive to sliding rock and 15 to asheville. Yes there is a train that goes through and make some noise. On the... More

We have stayed at the Asheville East KOA on several occasions ranging from overnight to several days. The experience has been consistently good. Sites are reasonably level and amenities are on a par with most KOA's. The staff is friendly and helpful. The area is gorgeous, and there is plenty to see and do (and eat) within a reasonable driving... More

We had a great weekend at this KOA. The staff here were very friendly and accommodating. To our surprise we were escorted to our campsite, even though we arrived late at night. The campsites are very close together, which was one major con to the campground. We had a basic back in full hookup campsite. I loved where we were... More

After spending two nights in two different beautiful and spacious National Park campgrounds, we really needed WiFi, so we decided to stay in a commercial campground. We had no idea so many people would be camping in April! If you are used to more space, you may feel a bit claustrophobic here. (Each site's water and sewage hookup ends up... More
