Well I must say that I read some reviews from other campers who have stayed at this KOA and I had my concerns before going up there. Upon arriving the checkout went fine and the attendants were pleasant and informative. Then later that evening within a span of 15 minutes we had Golf Cart Security tracking us down for several... more

We stayed at this koa for the first time this September. we arrived afterhours and were unable to check in that night. the next morning when i checked in the staff was rude, grumpy and unhelpful. I am a KOA employee and if i treated my customers the way that i was treated i would be FIRED! more

We stayed on one of the lakes, in a Truck Camper. Our stay was peaceful and relaxing, no bad campers anywhere near us. We fished for a short time but didn't catch anything. We did see some real big Large mouth Bass hauled out by others one going an easy 7lbs. I too heard the trains, but as the horns... more

We stated at this KOA in the spring and the location is very easy to get to and the camping is a bit tight but not bad for KOA. The train is a hit with the kids as it is easy to see from the main KOA area. At night the noise from a Bar right next to this campground... more

We stayed at this KOA for the first time on May 28, 2008. We arrived late after the office was closed but had reserved a RV Motorhome site from the KOA website. There is a rail line that runs parallel to the camp site and a highway. We were very tired from a long drive and about 11 or 12... more

We stayed at this KOA for the first time last weekend with friends (4 kabins total.) We're frequent KOA campers at other KOAs and were disappointed with this one. One employee was very helpful & friendly (thanks Amy) but the others with which we had contact were downright rude and condescending to campers; this was most evident at the mother's... more

This is a great campground if you like Asheville because it's close to Asheville. We brought my neice and nephew and they had a great time too. Employees were very friendly, bathrooms clean. We stayed our motorhome and we liked this place, would go back again. more

I have stayed here twice and this time I stayed here in order to attend Homecoming at my Alma Mater. The staff is always friendly and the bathrooms are always clean. I stayed beside the "main" lake/pond that folks paddle boats on and fish from both times but discovered the "other" quieter pond that I will likely stay beside next... more

We stayed in one of the one room kamp Kabin. The Kabin was nice and the heat worked great. Campground was clean, nice size. The bathhouse and restrooms were older ones. If you like the sounds of a train whistle at midnight and six in the morning this is the place for you. I can say one thing the staff... more
