The Loggerhead Inn is a nice place for a quick getaway. We priced other places and they were either all booked up or overpriced. We weren't looking for a 5 star hotel and got just what we wanted. We have cell phones so the no phone deal caused us no problems. The small dorm sized fridge worked well, we never... more

Management at this motel panders to extremely old grouchy conservative types. My boyfriend and had a few beers and he was getting a little noisy because he was drinking and was partially deaf. The stupid woman manager threw us out at the break of dawn without refunding our money and discriminated against my deaf boyfriend because he was making too much noise.The... more

I stayed during the last weekend of April. From the outside the place looks clean and orderly. The manager is a decent sort , quite friendly and was very attentive to the problems I encountered. The area is quiet with a very short walk to the closest public beach access. The Surf City Pier is a bit too far to... more

I am a engineer from Kansas City, MO. so I don't have an ocean near me. I was contracting at Camp LeJeune and one of the senior Marines told me about this place. I read the reviews, but came anyway!! It seems only the bad ones ever get posted... Maybe that is because the people that liked the place do... more

We decided to spend Labor Day weekend with our son who is stationed at Camp Lejeune. His only request was that we not stay at the Hospitality Lodge on base. Let me tell you, finding available rentals at reasonable prices during the holiday weekend is not easy. I found this property after numerous searches and decided to give them a... more

I stayed at this Hotel in June, what a disaster. We came for a wedding and planned on staying with the bride but her place was just too small and Loggerhead was within walking distance so we decided to walk over to check out if they had rooms. They had plenty so we decided we'd like a lower room so... more

The Place is no 5 star Inn but its very quaint, and away from the noise of the "main" traffic area. Very attentive manager and staff, well ran and so inexpensive. I came for the beach, not the place where I spent minimal hours sleeping and bathing. The pool was the cleanest I have ever swam in. The rooms, though... more

Went to Surf City for a wedding and walked to the Loggerhead. We were told they had plenty of rooms. So my Mom and I checked into #3. Two hours later we were switched rooms because the AC, fridge and TV didn't work. We were moved to #2, the TV, AC and fridge worked but that was about the only... more

Management response from
TCB24-7, General Manager

The Guest was fully aware of the accomodations before entering into the rental contract. she was afforded an opportunity to look at the room before signing and offered a different room at no additional charge after she became inconsolable. The guest chose to stay where she was at. Additioanally, the signed contract clearly states in large print "NO REFUNDS" on...

the Loggerhead is my favorite place! My daughters and I have been going there at least 3 times a year for the last 5 or 6 years and have the greatest time. I'm not sure why anyone wouldn't like it, its close to the beach, simple, and there are no phones to annoy you. Perfect getaway! Staff is always very... more

Absolutely the WORST!! We stayed on the 2nd floor; we had to CLEAN the bathroom when we got there. There were pubic hairs all over the sink, bathtub and toilet. We had to 'play' with the shower to work, the toilet didn't hardly flush (which the owner said was one of the best working commodes in the place!) Service was... more
