Stayed in the Vesta room which is located at the corner end of the second floor. The room was spacious, clean, comfortable, and quiet, with a scenic view of the intra-coastal water way surroundings, which could be enjoyed by sitting on the screened in porch. The bathroom was spacious with a stand up shower and separate large whirlpool tub! The... More

Our yearly visit to the Sunset Inn was wonderful once again. The Inn offers an unmatched peacefulness. Breakfast was perfect. The service is terrific and Andrea was a great help. We will be back again soon!!!

I needed a quick weekend getaway and I found it at The Sunset Inn. What makes this place so special are the people who work there. They get to know their guests and are there to make everyone's visit easy and enjoyable. It's the little things that matter and the Sunset Inn pays attention to the little things, from the... More

Thanks in part to our stay at Sunset Inn we had a very nice girls week with lifelong friends. The staff lived up to the term Southern Hospitality. The breakfast had plenty of options including homemade quiche or egg dish. Thanks so much!

We spent three wonderful nights at Sunset Inn and it was great! The staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome and helped us with restaurant suggestions and activities. We enjoyed the delicious breakfast provided each morning and even though it was hot we enjoyed the swing on the front porch and the rockers on the porches.... More

After seeing the Kindred Spirit mailbox story on CBS News, my wife and I wanted to visit Sunset Beach / Bird Island during our trip to North Carolina. We found The Sunset Inn on the Internet and it easily lived up to the other glowing reviews on TripAdvisor. My favorite part was the screened porch overlooking the Intracoastal Waterway. To... More

We have been going to Sunset Beach for 10+ years, we have driven by this hotel many times but never stayed here. Future trips to the beach without the kids, we will stay here. The room we stayed in was very comfortable and well maintained. The private screened porch looks over the intracoastal waterway. (In full disclosure, the inn is... More

We visited The Sunset Inn for our anniversary. The room was fantastic, with a private screened in porch. The breakfast each morning offered a variety of foods for everyone to enjoy. You have the option of eating breakfast in your room, on your private porch, or in the common room. The Inn overlooks the sound and is just a short... More

We spent two nights at The Sunset Inn. Beautiful place, big, well appointed room, private screen porch overlooking the salt marsh and intracoastal waterway. Very clean and well maintained. The first morning breakfast was a gluten free breakfast casserole! There was also fruit, breakfast breads, cereal, etc. The second morning was a quiche, which was not gluten free but my... More

Thank you for taking the time to write a review, we certainly appreciate it!! I'm so glad you enjoyed the Dogwood room and found it to be peaceful. We have been trying to do more and more gluten free options as many of our guests require it now (we want everyone to be able to eat), and we are now... More

This little inn is a gem in Sunset Beach, which is lovely, with well-kept homes and minimal touristy places. Every room has its own screen porch with a view of the sawgrass marsh and intracoastal waterway. There is some traffic, like all beach areas, but not like most, so you can rent a couple of bikes and ride around. Andrea... More
