Thank you to our gracious host. Completely amazing hotel, and we had it all to ourselves. Huge two-room suites. Marvelous furniture and lighting, good breakfast. I was amazed by the art, as if we were in a much larger estate, with such a masterfully curated collection. We enjoyed this fascinating town center, and used it as a hub for several... More

This B&B is incredibly charming. The rooms are beautiful and the innkeeper is wonderful. My wife, son and I had a very enjoyable stay. There's rich history and character to all of the rooms. Breakfast was delicious.

What a revelation! A charming, Art Deco hotel, built in 1897 and beautifully restored. Every room is a gem. Mine had its own piano! Fantastic welcome from my host Richard, and an excellent breakfast. A perfect home base for a hike in the Uwharrie national forest.

A group of friends and I booked most all the rooms at the B&B for a weekend trip to the Seagrove potteries. We had a wonderful stay and were well taken care of. The home is beautifully maintained inside and out with original details, woodwork, fireplaces, and antiques yet all the bathrooms are modern and tastefully updated. We did not... More

A lovely, peaceful bed and breakfast with lots of space, cool Art Deco and retro furnishings, very helpful and accommodating owner. Breakfast made to order, wifi, even a piano in our private living room. Definitely a value and very close to the Seagrove potteries. And not too far from ?NC Zoological Park. Beats any motel hands down.

My cousin and I stayed at the Star, so we were close to Seagrove and the Pottery Festival gala -- the inn is almost indescribable, every nook and cranny filled with oddities, every wall covered with a wide array of "historical" paintings, and a King Tut sarcophagus on the stair landing. . Rooms were large, but bathroom had a tiny... More

We needed a pet friendly place to stay in the area of Seagrove, and were advised to try the Star about 10 miles down the road. This place is unbelievable. The owner has completely redone the property, furnishing it with beautiful antiques, art work and statues in every nook and cranny. From the rose garden to the covered porch with... More

I had a comfortable stay at Star Hotel B & B while in the area for pottery shopping. The host couple was welcoming and quite helpful with check in and information about the area. It even felt right that there was a large, friendly, white dog, Angel, in the front yard of the hotel to welcome visitors! Star hotel is... More

If you want to stay at a place that takes you back in time, loaded with antiques and fine art, and be pampered by the innkeepers, this might be the place for you. The beautifully restored Victorian period house is hallmarked by a stairway made by the same brothers who made the grand staircase for the Titantic, The innkeepers, the... More
