The room was very clean and neat, room heater worked well, good water pressure in shower. Microwave and refrigerator in room. Wi-Fi internet hookup was quick and easy (unlike many places). Staff were friendly and helpful. Room rate was very reasonable. Breakfast had wide variety of well-prepared hot and cold foods. What a wonderful idea to remodel a no-longer-used school... more

My family stayed in the Principal's Cottage, this place was not labeled and we had to call the desk to make sure that this wasn't someone's residence. We opened the door and the smell of mold and mildew slapped you in the face. The floor was slippery, don't know why. You could not open the windows to help air the... more

My family and I recently stayed at the Pinebridge Inn in the Principal's Cottage. To say the least, we were very disappointed with the accomodations and the attitude of the staff. Upon arrival, after a very long trip, we opened the door and were hit with the smell of mold and mildew. The smell of the place was absolutely unbelievable!... more

Pinebridge Inn is the remodeled Harris schoolhouse where I attended Elementary school and my father attended High School. Schoolrooms were made into hotel rooms, with lots of room and high ceilings. Beds are comfortable with microwave and refrigerator in room. Televisions are old and small. Staying there always bring back memories. Lots of pictures and memorabilia of old time school... more

We had our family reunion there. We've done this many times before. This time there was notable decline in appearance of the rooms. We had them cater our family meal Saturday night also and even with 3 people missing that were paid several did not get enough to eat. Don't get me wrong- we like Pine Bridge but I also... more

The hotel was very beautiful and clean. The hotel staff was very accommodating and polite. We ate in the hotel each morning. They served a continetal breakfast . We walked across the foot bridge right into town. . There are many different places to eat and little shops to explore. We had a wonderful time and look forward to returning. more

Very difficult to find first off. Not well labeled. Once we found the main building (old run down school house) some redheaded girl who seemed very agitated when we asked for specific directions to one of the houses we rented. After finally finding the poorly labeled house, and cranking on the heat, we were infested by wasps. We called the... more

We made reservations and got there near midnight. If it would not have been so late and we would not have been so tired, we would have gone somewhere else. I don’t have mold and mildew in my house at home and don’t expect it when I pay to stay somewhere, either. The grout in the shower was black, the... more

Ran into Spruce Pine on our recent tour of Eastern US, needed somewhere for the night, and were directed to this Hotel by the people who were renovating the Spruce Pine Motel, said 'We always stay there' Turned out to be the old school house, huge ceilings, drawings on the walls, etc, etc, quite quaint. Clean, comfortable, breakfast included, bizarre... more
