Great location but average facilities. We stayed in a pop up for 5 nights July 2015. The Owner was nice as pie, , the camp hosts were nice as well. Having a pop up requires us to use the showers and bathrooms which were average "state park" grade at best. The location was obviously right on the Blue Ridge parkway,... More

My wife, daughter and I stayed here at one of the family cabins. Very easy place to find off the Blue Ridge Mountains. The weather was perfect for hiking the camp area, be warned some of the hiking is steep, but well worth the hike once up top. We hit all the campground hiking trails followed by a short trip... We love the Big Bear mountain view cabin #6 and visit every winter with hopes that it snows, which it did! It's beautiful, especially at night from the hot tub on the deck. The gas fireplace is a wonderful plus that makes things cozier. The decor makes you feel special---your every need anticipated. Games, Direct tv , wifi, DVD 's... More

Big Bear cabin #6 sits literally on top of a mt with glorious views from inside or from the big deck. Watching shooting stars from the hot tub is awesome. Cozy gas fireplace makes this a place for relaxing! Many interesting things to see and do nearby.Your every need has been thought of---- 3 televisions, DVD, games, fully equipped kitchen,... More

My wife and I are RV'ers but decided to get away without pulling the camper for our anniversary and stayed at the Creekside Cabin. I came across this place online when looking for pet friendly cabins since we have two black labs. I have been to beautiful Spruce Pine before so I was familiar with the area. Read all the... More

We had booked the Mountain View 6 for two nights. The cabin is smaller compared to some of the cabins we have rented for the same price. Bathrooms are small with the shower heads corroding and the stove in the kitchen only had one burner that worked right. The management had turned on the fireplace since we called ahead and... More

My wife and I had a really nice time here, but this is not a KOA campground. Light is minimal, and despite the enormous number of campsites, you will feel isolated and alone. I happened to think this was a great asset. It's an interesting mix of convenience and wilderness. While right off the Parkway, the road is a little... More

Beautiful surroundings. Nice locals. 1st time renting the honeymoon plus cabin. The jacuzzi is IN the living/dinning/bedroom. You smell the chemically treated water the majority of the time you're in the cabin. The handle on our toilet was broken & the shower was clogged. We placed a requested to have it fixed. They came same day to fix the shower,... More

The family stayed at Bear Den, we rented one of the family cabins. The cabins are nice, but as far as sleeping 6 I think that’s a joke. The sofa that opens into a bed should be removed from the cabin; it would be softer sleeping on the floor, no springs sticking you in the back. Remember the beds are... More

Stayed for three nights in one of the cabins that sleep four. Cabin was what you expect, the beds need to be replaced. No support in mattress. Be prepared to get no sleep and the pull out sofa bed is a joke!! You have to walk to camp fire site to have a fire which defeats the whole experience. They... More
