I took my mom to stay here for her birthday. It was a awesome place to stay. The owners are so nice. My mom loved it and so did I. I would love to come back with my husband. My mom and I really enjoyed our stay here.

First of all, I must say that I have not stayed at this wonderful B&B but feel the need to write a review after my experience yesterday afternoon with the owner. Rick went out of his way for me, my wife and friends to give us a guided tour of this picture postcard town on a delightful Saturday afternoon. Having... More

This was a small B&B, with only four rooms, but very homey. The hosts were wonderfully hospitable and gave us a tour of the town in a golf cart. We really appreciated the availability of coffee, snacks and other beverages during the day. The rooms were spotless and the bed was very comfortable. I would definitely recommend Robert Ruark Inn... This is definitely one of the best B & B's we have stayed in. The owners were very accommodating. The location, cleanliness, and food were second to none. We will most certainly schedule a return trip! Jim and Beth

My wife and I spent three nights here while checking out the Southport area. We are NOT fans of Bed & Breakfast style inns. But the owners at Robert Ruark Inn won us over, indeed! It's all about the simple things, and they don't miss the details. From fresh brewed coffee early in the morning, to providing information (and no... More

My husband and I drove to Wilmington, NC from Pinehurst for the annual February camellia show. What a nice show! After that we headed for Southport, a trip that ended up being about an hour. This was a nice town! I only wish that we had more time to meander through the shops and back streets....I wanted to visit more... More

Overall this Inn is very good. Park the car and walk every where. It is just beautiful and we would definitely return. I would ask for a different room as the bed was small and not very comfortable. Not terrible but not great. Breakfast and snacks were good.
