Charming Inn circa 1921. Unfortunately, common area carpets are wrinkled and filthy. Rooms are small, as you would expect from this era. Bathroom was so small it was claustrophobic. Place has allot of potential and the golf course is wonderful. Current owner needs to make a serious investment before we would think of returning.

The Hotel is a great old charmer. The staff is the best , friendly, and welcoming. The hotel has had some changes and could use a little more (interior) cosmetic work. The formal dining room has a great feel to it and is very comfortable, menu is a mix of entries that come out of the kitchen in excellant form... More

Old is the key word here. Some like traditional while others prefer contemporary. For those who like to step back in time this is an affordable resort you can consider. Nothing fancy here and clearly substantial money needs to be spent in the very near future. Despite that Mid Pines does deliver "old world" and it is a lovely setting.... More

This is an older property right on the golf course. Very historic which is charming but you do have to walk up stairs to get to your rooms. The beds are high off the floor which might be charming but can be a problem for older folks to enjoy getting in and out of. Even the mirrors in the bathroom... More

We came here to participate in a golf tournament at Pine Needles & our room reservation was made at Mid Pines for 2 nights by the event coordinator. The place is full of history & could use a few touches but overall is extremely wonderful. The bed is heavenly, desk is very nice, no fridge, tv is acceptable, closet is... More

The minute my children and I walked in the front door we could smell it. Musty, moldy, I could feel it in my nose, in my throat. Maybe the room will be better. Maybe the cookies and lemonade I ordered in advance will be waiting for us. Maybe the room will look like the one we saw on the website.... More

My wife and I recently returned from a two night stay at Mid Pines Reaort, a lovely, old, classic resort. We spent three nights at Pinehurst and then moved the few short miles to Mid Pines simply to experience it as well while in the area. We were glad we did as everything about the place speaks of its easy-going... More

After golf, staff and restaurant are great and accommodating . Food is top shelf for a resort anywhere. Especially good are the soups the steaks , the beef r fish are incredible. The... More

this gorgeous old hotel was build about a hundred years ago and is said to be scheduled for a renovation after the 2014 opens. i'm sure all of that will be good, but i love this place just the way it is. we had a nice big comfortable room overlooking the golf course. the bath was great, a bit dated,... We stayed at Mid Pines for two nights so I could play a little golf. While the Inn is old, it is very quaint and historic. Rooms are a bit small, but everything you need is there. The restaurant seemed very nice and was filled with locals. There is an extremely nice bar and lounge outside the golf pro shop... More
