This weekend my family stayed at Mid Pines Inn and Golf Club for two evenings during our sons Junior Golf Tournament. We have always staying at other hotels but decided to give Mid Pines a try since the tournament was at this golf course. Upon arrival we were greeted by Mack who may have been the friendliest bellman we have... More

My 14 yr old and I stayed 3 nights here during a Junior Golf tournament. This was our first time staying here. The building was very pretty from outside, it must have been quite a sight way back when. The inside is less impressive. The things we wish were better: The whole building smells old and musty. They are making... More

I've stayed here on and off over 20 years, and I always come back. I love the fact there are no elevators -- this is an old-fashioned 3-story hotel with modern amenities and a classic, and restored, Donald Ross golf course that I never tire of playing, especially with my hickory clubs. There's a wonderful bar/restaurant where folks really do... More

This is a excellent place to enjoy a leisurely Brunch. We made reservations but the dining room was only about 1/3 full so we really didn't need them. This was our first visit and I was expecting more breakfast items and less lunch items but it didn't matter! Everything was delicious. My favorites were:smoked salmon, carving station roast beef, applewood... More

My wife and I have eaten here on several occasions. At first, I was a bit wary of the price- $27.00 pp- since we classify ourselves as "thrifty travelers". However, as it will become apparent, I have nothing negative to say about this well-known Sunday extravaganza in the Pinehurst area. Let's start with the View: We recommend that you select... More

Went with a group to golf at Mid Pines and Pine Needles. Staff were welcoming but on arrival in the room found worn carpeting, chipped furniture and a beautiful view of the 18 th hole. Room appeared clean but did find a dead cockroach in the very tiny bathroom along with rusted pipes. Also after golf the first day, we... More

Lets be honest you probably are coming to Pinehurst N.C. to play golf. You won't be disappointed with the golf course and the golf setting at Mid Pines Inn and Golf Club. The hotel reeks (in a positive way) of tradition and 'golf'. From the lobby to the bar, to the game room and dining room you will feel that... More

As part of a small group of gals from New Hampshire this spring, this spot could not have been better. The hotel was charming and the staff incredibly welcoming. It 'speaks' tradition at every corner...The dining room, the living room, the lounge, the porch....wow. What is a hallmark of a good staff is that no one ever passes you in... More

While the golf course at Mid-pines Inn showed its best in pale pink and white dogwoods and snappy, joyful fresh spring green, inside the inn another story was happening. The rooms and common spaces are trapped in a faux chintz, pseudo country club era in great need of refurbishment. Entering the lobby, a disturbingly sweet type of fragrance wafts into... More

Stayed in a cabin off the golf course with a group of 14. Quiet and rustic. Service was great and the golfing was terrific. Preferred Pine Needles to Mid Pine course but they are both great. Food was great as well. Would definitely return.
