I do not play golf so I will limit my comments to the hotel room. If you enjoy staying in a hotel built in the 20's you may like Mid Pines. No elevator, steam heat ( not adjustable in the room ), old furniture, worn out carpet, a dated t.v. and squeaky floors. On the plus side, the rooms are... More

From the moment we walked through the door to see no one at the check-in desk (he was showing someone the rooms) I knew this was going to be a disappointment. The room needing a good cleaning, the toilet wasn't working properly and the noise from outside was deafening. I would never stay there again. Next time I will stick... More

Eight of us had dinner last night and we were the only people dining. My husband ordered a filet medium rare and it came out way over cooked. Perhaps because the hotel was nearly empty, the regular chef was not in the kitchen. I had the pork with mixed vegetables and mashed potatoes. Everything had too much garlic!! I would... More

If you want to feel the apprecation for a traditional bussiness golf outing, this is the place. The hotel takes you back in time. The upkeep and updates are lacking, but this adds character to the hotel. In fact, a major renovation might take away the cool historic vibe it has. The golf course was in great shape. The sandy... This is an old nostalgic hotel. True it needs some updating, especially carpets, baths, etc. But it is clean. It has a lot of charm and character. The old architecture is fabulous. It has tons of history, especially all the old pictures. They have a nice restaurant with buffet for breakfast. A pub restaurant at the bar. The food in... More

Stayed 3 days/2 nights here for a company golf outing. Very old hotel and some of the "old" will annoy you (small bathroom, quirky door locks, no elevator), but the food, staff and golf course are top notch. The golf course used to host some PGA and LPGA events and there are framed photos of golfing legends all over the... More

we normally stay at pine needles (literally across the road) but as they were full they suggested mid pines - there is no comparison. The lady on the desk when we checked in was so indifferent she was almost rude. The restaurant/bar has no atmosphere and the hotel does not have a lift. After a seven hour drive we were... More

Beautiful old hotel in need of updating. We stayed here to attend a wedding. Musty odor throughout. Our room ceiling looked to have had water damage. Carpet loose in hallways due to stretching. Beautiful views of the golf courses. NO ELEVATOR even though it is a three story hotel. Loved the ambiance in the bar which provided great service, food... More

This weekend my family stayed at Mid Pines Inn and Golf Club for two evenings during our sons Junior Golf Tournament. We have always staying at other hotels but decided to give Mid Pines a try since the tournament was at this golf course. Upon arrival we were greeted by Mack who may have been the friendliest bellman we have... More

My 14 yr old and I stayed 3 nights here during a Junior Golf tournament. This was our first time staying here. The building was very pretty from outside, it must have been quite a sight way back when. The inside is less impressive. The things we wish were better: The whole building smells old and musty. They are making... More
