Had a very nice lunch was business friend in a very enjoyable setting. The fireplace was a great touch on a cold day. Service was perfect and the Chicken/Bacon Club was more than a meal. This will be my new go to place for a business lunch.

Spent last weekend there for a group party and had a very fun and relaxing time! Buildings are a bit on the older side but well maintained and very clean. Because the rooms are older there are in-room A/C and heating units, just something to be aware of since they're kind of loud, but the staff was friendly and the... More

Played this course recently and Mid Pines last year. PN generally gets more raves but I liked MP better, PN is an excellent course, tremendous condition. MP just has a little more character and details.

First of all I am not going to tell you that Pine Needles Golf Resort is better than Pinehurst - it's not, but it's still a damn fine place to play golf. It is also far cheaper than Pinehurst. The North Carolina sandhills area is famous for its great golf courses, many designed by the legendary Donald Ross. However, in... More

Three of us shared a room in the cottages. It's is a large room , has a balcony or patio as well as a common recreation area. It is clean quiet and very affordable. The staff is attentive and very friendly. We have stayed here three times and have never been disappointed. Breakfast buffet is tasty.

If you are looking for an easy course, this is not where you want to play. Enjoy the layout of the course design is all I can say. It is worth it. Amazing place to play a round and celebrate with some food and drink. A Donald Ross design. Owned by the Peggy Kirk Bell family. A delightful setting. A... More

We checked in late yesterday. We arrived at the room late. When we entered the room. we wanted to turn around and go to the Springhill Suites where we dropped our daughter. First we noticed a musty smell, second the oldness. Not quaint---just out-dated. The TV was an old box-style. The bathroom is tiny. One pedestal sink w/ a 4:"... More

This was my second time staying at Pine Needles and I have to admit that I thoroughly enjoyed the rustic atmosphere of the lodges named for golf scores (birdie, eagle, etc.). The beds are comfortable, free wifi and a wide range of cable channels are available and the view of the main lodge and the smell of burning hickory in... More

This place will take you back to the good days of travel & resort stays. Pine Needles Resort is just that charm and comfortable resort. Old school with a today comfort, yes rooms are dated but not so. A must for a business goals conference which is golf in the day & meetings and laughter afterwards. A return must.

The breakfast buffet is wonderful and the service great. We stayed in Eagle lodge and I highly recommend it. The lounge areas of the inn are comfortable and inviting. My only complaint was the lunch service in the casual bar/restaurant. I had traveled over 4 hours and wanted a cup of soup and crackers. The restaurant had 8 other diners... More
