This hotel is quaint. Originally asked for this choice from TripAdvisor. Staff was helpful. Stayed here several days. The room can be cleaned as needed. A good old style motor lodge. Coffee and doughnuts offered in the a.m.

After going to a hotel across the street that no one came to the window to check me in after I made a reservation I went accross the street to stay at the village motor lodge because I was tried of waiting and ringing the bell for almost an hour! When I got to the village , the guy at... More

I stopped here by chance and it was a good stop. I needed a good nights sleep after 13 straight hours driving up from SWFL. It was reasonably priced, secure for my vehicle, all rooms on the first floor. Friendly desk staff and they accepted my well behaved cat with no problems. If you are looking for luxurious accommodations, are... More

We stay here a couple of times a year when we are travelling to South Carolina, and have for years. It is a basic old fashioned motor court, no frills, but it is so convenient to I95, clean, and takes pets for only $5 extra. The front desk staff are pleasant and helpful. Sure, it could use updating and sometimes... More

Ok, preamble before any misunderstanding. We are not speaking of upscale lodging or anything resembling such. The Village Motor Lodge in Smithfield is a handy and easily remembered place to stop at exit 95 0n I95 in Smithtown, known ( to a declining audience) for the Ava Gardner Museum, nationally famous Smithfield hams and a nearby shopping center with a few... This is a low price, budget motel. There is no refrigerator, microwave, or flat screen TV. All of that would be fine for the price, but there are also no plugs, the lights near the beds don't work. The rugs are filthy. The wifi cut out 4 times while writing this review. Don't stay here. not worth it

I have stopped at this motel numerous times over the years as it is my halfway point when I drive to South Carolina to visit family. I had not stopped for several years, but was just exhausted after our recent Spring Break trip and was delighted to see it is just as charming, warm, friendly, clean, and reasonably priced as... The rooms are small, smell, and dark. NONE of the maids speak English!! I felt like I needed a passport or green card to stay here, between dealing with the Indian owner and Mexican maids. Stayed one other week, there were young folks drinking in the parking lot, getting loud in their room (next to mine), leaning on my room... More

We checked into this motel and got room 104. As soon as we opened the door, the smell hit you. The room was very dark. We could not find a light switch to turn on fhe single light hanging over the table. The wiring on the hanging light had black electrical tape on it. There was a king size bed... More
