Wonderful accommodations. This historic home was nicely renovated and well furnished. Our room was private and clean. The owners are sisters and were delightful, easy to talk to and knew the area well. They fixed a delicious breakfast served in the cheerful sunroom.

My husband and I had a wonderful stay at the Duck Smith House. Barbara and Suzanne could not be better hosts, from welcoming us after a long drive, to turning down the bed in our beautiful room (the Carolina), to leaving us dessert for when we came back from dinner. Breakfast in the sun room was delightful and delicious (stuffed... More

Wife and I had the best time. This place is so beautiful in a small but yet friendly town. The house was beautifully decorated with local pottery, and country setting was just amazing. I will be back, would love to see it decorated for Christmas

This was our latest stay at Duck Smith House, but we have enjoyed the place several times over the past years. We usually go down in November with another couple, stay for two nights, and spend the days checking out all the pottery shops and chatting with the potters in Seagrove, NC. Sisters Barbara and Suzanne are wonderful hosts: there... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our 1 night stay here. Sisters who own the place were extremely friendly and kept it in excellent condition. The room we stayed in (Bertie's) was roomy and had a very nice adjoining bathroom. Breakfast was delicious. Would certainly go back again.

The sisters who own Duck Smith are wonderful at making the traveler feel at home. We were celebrating a birthday and anniversary. They made us chocolate covered strawberries, rose petals on our bed, and a birthday candle in my peach pancakes! The house is nicely decorated, they serve cheese and crackers in the afternoon, and a gourmet breakfast. We have... More

This is the most comfortable and welcoming bed and breakfast we have ever stayed at. Out in the middle of nowhere. There is only one reason to go to Seagrove and that is to shop for pottery. There are at least 85 potters in the surrounding area. The Duck Smith has many of those potters samples in their breakfast room... More

We stayed at the Duck Smith House Bed & Breakfast in October while visiting the area for pottery. The house was clean, inviting, and extremely comfortable. The Innkeepers, Barbara and Suzanne, were very hospitable. They were knowledgeable of the area potters and directed us to places we were looking for as well as places we would not have known to... The Duck House is the best in bed and breakfast accommodations in every way. Barbara and Suzanne could not have been more helpful. Our breakfasts were outstanding and they went out of their way when we arrived late. We had not expected them to do this. The house is lovely and we hope to return there on our next trip... More

Enjoyed our Labor Day stay in this wonderful B&B with sister hostesses, Barbara & Suzanne Murphy, true professionals in the hospitality industry. In the last 10 years they have restored this vintage house to its original glory which all patrons can truly appreciate. In addition to our restful sleep, we were treated to a delicious breakfast featuring scrumptious French toast... More
