I was having Bucket Buddy Deprivation....we are four friends that are doing things together from our bucket lists.......our last adventure, hot air ballooning, got rained out.....so I needed a dose of chuckles with my BFFs that did not involve some life threatening escapade......I live four hours away from them so we decided something somewhere in between us would be appropriate......so... My husband and I found this gem about 5-6 years ago and we keep coming back. The B&B is not only beautiful , the breakfasts are phenomenal and like no other we have had in other B&B s. The owners are not only gracious , warm, kind and full of fascinating facts about the history of the home and the... More

We have stayed at the inn several times. We usually stop on our way to the beach. The inn is very nice and has the most comfortable beds. The breakfasts are delicious. The ladies who run the B&B, Barbara & Suzanne, are two of the sweetest people you would ever want to meet.

We have stayed at the B&B several times over the last six or seven years. The rooms are large and comfortable and the breakfasts are wonderful! Suzanne and Barbara , the sisters who run the B&B, are very friendly and helpful. We feel very at home there. And they are right in the middle of all the Seagrove area potteries.

Large very clean rooms and terrific breakfast. Close to all the Seagrove potteries. The two sisters who run the inn are very nice and attentive. The innkeepers will provide restaurant recommendations. There is a nice selection of pottery at the inn so you can preview where you might like to visit.

Proprietors Suzanne and her sister Barbara are THE BEST. You'll never be disappointed staying at the Duck Smith House. It's a perfect location for N.C. pottery country. The B&B has great charm and the rooms are very comfortable. Breakfasts are always first rate and our hosts are wonderful.

The title says it all. We spent a night in celebration of our 25th wedding anniversary having decided to make the pottery rounds earlier in the day. Extremely comfortable beds. We stayed in the Bertie Room. Original (non-working) fireplaces added nice touch as did the sweet treats in celebration of our anniversary left with the turn down service:). Breakfast is... More

Great location for Seagrove home of 140+ potters, some great designs nice people and low prices. You buy direct from the Potters. Seagrove is not much if a place to stay but the Duck inn B&B is a lovely place to chill. It is a dry town so bring some wine to sit on the covered porch.... Lovely

After years of avoiding B and B's my wife and I just spent a wonderful say at The Duck Smith House. I have never seen such a spotless home and two more caring owners, Barbara and Suzanne. The rooms are very well appointed and the sheets/pillows bed are of high quality. The daily rate included breakfast which is served on... More
