The place to stay in and around the charming town of Saluda, NC. From the moment we stepped inside it felt like we were at home-- almost like visiting a favorite relative where you are completely at ease. The innkeepers, Dale and Donna are terrific-- we took to them instantly and enjoyed hearing them talk about the B&B and the... More

I was fortunate enough to stay at The Oaks while attending art classes at nearby Random Arts. Dale and Donna couldn't have been more cordial. Donna, who did all the decorating, gave me a tour of the lovely rooms. Each one was more beautiful than the first! Dale prepared an absolutely scrumptious breakfast which we enjoyed along with great coffee... More

What a beautiful bed and breakfast. My husband and I had a peaceful stay. Dale greeted us when arriving, he is a wonderful host. We had a summer squash frittata, apple smoked bacon, biscuits and homemade jam for breakfast. The coffee was special. The Oaks is extremely clean and well kept. I highly recommend it to all.

Our hosts Dale and Donna were so pleasant. Dale greeted us and assisted with luggage. There was a congenial atmosphere, very pretty deck for private reading, second deck where we has breakfast two days, and he assisted with finding nearby sites. Dale is the chef and the first morning we had his wonderful almond-encrusted French toast, bacon, alternatives for those... More

This was one of the most pleasant Bed & Breakfasts we've visited. Grand Victorian style home that is well-maintained, and Dale and Donna are wonderful and very knowledgable hosts. We stayed in the "Treetops" room, which is actually a well provisioned three room apartment that was formerly the upper story of the carriage house. Very nicely done, all new appliances,... More

We stayed at The Oaks in Dec. '07 and will be back! Breakfast was wonderful, the rooms clean and beautiful. Dale & Donna made us feel like we were part of their family. Their warmth and hospitality were greatly appreciated; they went out of their way to highlight the areas that were must sees for myself, my husband, and 7... More

The innkeepers / owners Dale & Donna were very congenial and great hosts. The breakfasts were fantastic and rooms well appointed and maintained. The Saluda business district is within easy walking distance, and there are several waterfalls nearby and at Dupont State Park. Asheville is a short (35 minute) drive away as is the Blue Ridge Parkway. We stayed in... More
