The lodge was beautiful each room was different in decor. The view was gorgeous looking out to the mountains. Great bonfire with a serving of smores. Very romantic and relaxing in a not so far away visit. Loved going into town to see the old shop and restaurants. Gave us a walk back in time. The Purple onion restaurant was good... More

We stayed at the Saluda Mountain Lodge while attending an equestrian event in Tryon this weekend. Let me start by saying that I travel for business every week, and I have several benchmarks for a good hotel stay. This lodge easily hit them all. The rooms were tastefully decorated with a rustic mountain theme, everything was clean, the rooms were... More

My vehicle broke down at the Saluda exit on I-26, and I could not have picked a more perfect place to have car trouble. Wendy and Wayne are the most gracious and accommodating hosts that I've ever had the pleasure of staying with. They helped make a difficult situation into something actually enjoyable, and I'm truly grateful for that. The... More

As my wife and I drove by the different rooms, we noticed none of them were decorated the same. One with a beautifully painted amour, then ours. Victorian red sateen sheets, lots of nice silk flowers, a very comfy reclining chair. All we needed for a relaxing time in a quaint town. Thanks to Wayne and Wendy for a lovely... More

This incredible spot hosted our wedding reception out-of-town guests, and it was the highlight of the weekend! Wendy and Wayne are so warm and welcoming, and this is the perfect spot to crash for a short or long stay in the Blue Ridge. The views are fantastic, and they have a great fire pit and clean, comfortable rooms. Within a... More

The host make sure you're comfortable. You can also relax at night around the fire pit as you gaze at the mountain views in the distance. This is a small hotel with fabulous rooms. The town is about a mile away and charming. Be sure to check out Wards Diner for breakfast.

Amazing view...the rooms were extremely clean (100% sanitation score!) and the beds were very comfortable. We stayed in two connecting rooms. Both rooms had a microwave, refrigerator, and a (clean!) coffeepot. The rooms we stayed in also had back doors which opened to the firepit/outdoor game area. A beautiful mountain view is visible from both the front and back door--the... More

We stayed here for one night passing thru NC. The inn keepers were wonderful and the view is amazing. When you look at the pictures it looks like a motel, but it is so much nicer than that! We love to stay in B &B's and this was one of the best. Instead of breakfast in the morning, you get... More

Every room is on one floor so at first glimpse it seemed like a glorified motel, but turned out much better than imagined. The best view is actually out the back, near the firepit which they light in the evenings. All the ingredients you need for s'mores are there for your use, as well as games in the rec room... More

This is a hidden gem in the North Carolina Foot Hills. It is run by a real family that treats you like family. Wendy and Wayne greet you when you arrive and do everything to make your stay special. The biggest attraction for me was the uncluttered view of the Green River Gorge. It looks like the Grand Canyon with... More
