My sister and I stayed at the Grandhouse a week ago and we both loved it! Leanne Lee greeted us with afternoon tea and made us so welcome and comfortable. She said that the lounge room belonged to us - it even has a grand piano! The bedroom was simply beautiful and we slept well. The bathroom was huge. Breakfast... More

Stayed 8 May arrived late and received such a warm welcome from Leeanne we relaxed immediately! She even left some delicious cakes for our cuppa. Room delightful, spotless and clean, large comfy bed, delicious cont. breakfast THEN Leanne helped us book our next nights accommodation. We didn't want to leave. I spent a night at the Grandhouse ,York,West Australia. The hosts Ron and Leanne were wonderful, warm and cheery. We spent time with them in their olive grove and their delightful herb garden. The room was good and well kept. York itself had somewhat little to offer especially after dark. Some grand old buildings to photograph. it was the getting away... More

Leanne Lee was born to be a B & B Hostess. The rooms are magnificently fitted out with the most beautiful linen and toiletries. Everything possible to make ones stay memorable. A truly delightful property with ducks and chickens in the yard - we arrived to find Leanne away but the key was left and the afternoon tea was in... More

We visited this fabulous B&B during the March 2012 long weekend and spent two great nights there. The host, Leanne, is such a warm and friendly character and you just can't help but feel that you are welcome guests. The rooms are spacious and tastefully furnished and the continental breakfast is great, with lots of delicious home-made items on the... More

What a lovely w/end my husband and I had staying at the Grand Cottage in York. The hostess of the cottage is Bronwyn and we loved the blueberry muffins for afternoon tea, which was very much appreciated. The breakfasts are also lovely and it is no effort for Bronwyn to cook fresh pancakes for you early in the mornings. The... More

Bronwyn asked me to provide the following response on her behalf. "Thank you for your kind review on your recent stay. I enjoy cooking for guests, making them feel welcome and advising them about the beautiful historic town of York. It is my ongoing aim to make the cottage a home away from home without the day to day chores!" More

Clean and comfortable rooms, beautiful environment and hospitality like no other. Leanne was a magnificent host and made us feel so welcome. A safe haven for weary travelers with lots of lovely surprises - homemade jams, great company and sitting under the night sky in the perfect garden was such a treat. Felt like we were home (only better)! Can't... More

I recently stayed at the Grand Cottage in York. The "little brother" of the magnificent Grandhouse, this quaint little cottage offered me everything I needed for my short stay in York. This tastefully decorated B & B was close enough to the centre of the historic York townsite to walk into town to either browse or buy necessary supplies. My... More

Stayed for just a night on the way back to Perth from Wave Rock. Delightful B&B in delightful York with its notable early settler history and buildings. The complimentary afternoon tea with fresh baked scones and home made mango and passion fruit jam is not to be missed. Good recommendation for the Castle Hotel in town for evening meal.
