Firstly, I am amazed at the audacious contribution by Wendy in July 2013. Fair Dinkum ! This is a working cattle station in the Kimberley - Not the Sheraton Hotel. My wife and I recently discovered Diggers Rest by accident when visiting the nearby Boab tree. It was late afternoon when we ventured through the front gate and approached the... More

We spend last month in the Kimberly and Top End. Of all the places we pitched our tent, Digger's Rest was the best even we had rain in the middle of the dry and half of the family spent most of day on a tire repair. The atmosphere was just lovely with plenty of things to see and do: giving... More

We visited the station for a weekend to do some horseriding and will most definitely be back. The horses are well educated, safe and in great condition. We did a morning ride around the property on Saturday but the highlight was the sunset ride with breathtaking views and a magical orange and purple sunsent over the kimberley landscape and boab... I was in Australia for business and decided to take a week of holiday to see the outback. A friend of a friend told me about Digger's Rest station - what an amazing find! This is from a review I wrote elsewhere... "I had an absolutely wonderful stay at Digger's Rest. I took part in the muster (May 2014). The... More

Stunning scenery, relaxed atmosphere, pleasant hosts and guests - I will never forget the impressions of this adventure in the outback. Seemd like the middle of nowhere, but turned out to be a wonderful place to forget all the worries and trouble. You can stay in a bush hut, in an air-conditioned bunkhouse room or you can camp by the... More

I had a group of 15 people, mostly first time swaggers and we loved Diggers Rest and the hearty breakfast. The shower facilities were clean and roomy, amazing views of ranges and lovely to see a working station in action. Roderick and Alida are lovely welcoming hosts.

This was a great way to live the dream! If you have ever wanted to join in a genuine cattle muster I would thorough recommend you give Alida and Roderick a call. Even though I have had a fair bit of riding experience and also had a bit of experience working with cattle, this was the first time on a... More

I have just returned from a wonderful week at Digger's rest Station in the Kimberley. I was participating in a photo safari run by Rachel and Andrew of "On The Verandah" http://www.ontheverandah.com.au/. This enterprising couple are working with Digger's Rest and will be offering workshops on such diverse subjects as Bush cooking, song writing (Rachel is an established country singer)... More
