After seeing a good review on Tripadvisor I thought I would give this Motel a try. Quite shocked at the appearance from the outside the Red painted brickwork is an acquired taste but thankfully the inside is very good. It is a very old hotel however has charm on the inside. The owners Niece greeted us at reception and was... More

It's quite acceptable for a nights stay . Pretty old and weathered, it felt like it could be used in a movie. Had a good feed for breaky, self service, I bet it'd get pretty hot here some days luckily we missed that. The staff were friendly and helpful. I'd say they are used to very short stays from people... More

The building has awesome history to it but needs a facelift, our bed was really comfy and our room was clean, there is nothing wrong with this motel as it's budget accommodation and the rooms are very old but still fine, in your rate is also included breakfast! The motel dog is so lovely & cute,

I stayed here in October which was a couple of days ago, friendly reception, rooms were great and clean and nice big tv, good solid big bed.Decent bathroom which was also clean, great value for money at $80, nice table and chairs outside each room to have a beer after your long drive. I would definitely stay here again.

Although a very old building the rooms are clean, beds are comfy, water is hot, and the airconditioner actually worked...Lovely lady runs the place...My old dog was allowed to stay inside with me in one of the motels pet friendly rooms..Rates are very reasonable..I would definitely stay here again.

This establishment seems to have a variety of rooms - motel style and rooms in the old hotel. We had the latter which upon arrival was very cold but with two heaters on the go it eventually warmed up. The hotel appears quite old and needs a good makeover but it's sufficient for a stop over. Our accommodation was the... More

This old hotel is virtually untouched since it's hey-days. It was a marvellous experience. We had a magnificent suite of 3 rooms. Our accommodation was very clean. We couldn't have hoped for more. We had a choice of rooms and we choose one that overlooked the street and had a balcony. We also received a complementary self serve light breakfast.

Booked a basic room at $45 which consisted of a double bed and tv using shared facilities. Don't think you will get much cheaper than that! Facilities are basic...clean...but "Hotel" could really do with a makeover. Lady on reception was very pleasant. negatives: room was like an ice box & the walls are thin.. Still worth the price if you... More

The extent to which perception and, consequently, vision are dependent upon memory and imagination is a matter of every day experience. We see familiar things more clearly then when we see objects about which we have no stock of memories. The old seamstress, who cannot read without glasses, can see to thread needle with the naked eye. Why? Because she... More

It was after dark when we arrived at the Railway Hotel, fairly well zonked after a long haul across the Nullabor. So, didn't really get to see and appreciate its faded grandeur on arrival ... that was a treat for the next morning. Stayed in one of the demountable rooms out the back, a little poky but spotless and the... More
