If first impressions are true then the cigarette butts and bottle tops on the ground outside my room didn't impress nor did the smell of smoke from my neighbours. Being a weekend it seems there was a large noisy group staying - no fault of the motel - but frustrating to me as i need rest as attending a weekend... More

I recently stayed for one night - the room was large, clean and tidy. Though it could do with a spruce up including curtains for privacy it was fine for a short stay. The shower was nice and hot with great pressure but you will need to take your own flannel and soap, shampoo and conditioner (unless your preference is... More

This was just an overnight stop on my journey and thank goodness I didn't stay any longer! My room was nice & pleasant, with a big bathroom, but there were no bedside tables or bedside lights. There was a kitchen corner with fridge & tea/coffee facilities. The room had a very large window, but there was no net curtain or... More

On approach the exterior looked as if it was from a 1960s movie. It is probably typical of the older country motels found on the outskirts of small Australian towns. Check in was straight forward. Unfortunately the young lady on reception was new to the town and couldn't tell us where anything was. The room was spacious but dark and... More

I stayed on a Fri and Sat night this Oct at Acacia Lodge based on reviews I read on this site. The unit is at the back of the motel facing another street. Unfortunately the motel and neighbouring unit was occupied by work crews staying overnight which meant a lot of noisy vehicles leaving early morning and the adjacent unit... More

I stayed at this motel for 1 night in Sept 2013. It is a traditional original Australian country motel. The room I had was badly in need of renovation and refurbishment - general appearance was tired and worn. The decor was very dark; dark carpet, bedspread and furnishings - not at all welcoming. There was no bedside table on which... More

After two months on the road, we have slept on every type of bed. It was with relief that the bed at this motel was found to be very comfortable. The room also was clean and we settled in very quickly. Nice lady at reception. Great views of the area from the motel but this meant that to visit the... More

It was hard to tell if the twin room we stayed in was badly in need of renovation, or had been badly renovated. The main room, with two beds, was clean enough, and the beds were reasonably comfortable, but the benches and drawers showed signs of very rough handling and no repairs, there were no bedside tables, and the reading... I'm not sure what the other places in Narrogin are like, but I will definitely be staying at Acacia Lodge again when I return. Acacia Lodge is part of the Motel, but it's a separate building at the back. Don't be fooled by the outside - the interior has been completely redone and modernised. It has everything you need (except... More
