I decided to take my family (2 boys under 6) for our first winter ski holiday over a three day weekend. The weather was perfect, the best snow season since 2004 but the highlight of our trip was Bright Chalet. We took up a sensational offer of $165 pp , per night with kids at $30 per night that included... More

This is the second time we've been to this buffet and they've gotten even better. Beautiful & freshly cooked main dishes provided and a good selection of soup, salads and desserts with complimentary tea and coffee. The owner were attentive and friendly. Adults are $24 per head and children $12. After spending a day at the snow, this is a... More

We called into the shop at the back of the chalet to hire chains for the day to go to Mt Buffalo. Was offered a great deal for dinner, bed & breakfast so we stayed. Everyone very friendly & helpful. Good sleep, best bed yet after several nights on the road. Would definitely stay again.

I stayed at the Chalet for three nights: the occasion was the Touratech Event 2014. Touratech is an adventure motorcycling accessory manufacturing. Bright Chalet was booked out by Touratech to accommodate about 50 motorcyclists and Touratech, BMW and Triumph staff. The Chalet pulled it off very well indeed. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff, and the facilities were... More

We booked this at short notice and had read mixed reviews, but thought it was worth a try, and we are really pleased we did. There is definitely something a little 70's about the place, but that also helps give it the Chalet feel. We upgraded to a deluxe room. It had a queen bed on a mezzanine level and... More

After a long, mainly off-road trip from Tassie, and 4 nights booked into The Bright Chalet with the TouratechTravel Event, we were hoping for friendly faces, an adequate comfy room, and some decent food and company. What we got far exceeded that basic list. Michael and family ensured we had a wonderful spotless 2-storey room, it even had a balcony... More

My partner and i booked into this room thinking we would enjoy our weekend. We called up during the day to confirm check in time, and was told they have 26 rooms and only 4 cleaners.... I need 4 cleaners alone to keep my house clean, yet alone a chalet!! From the outside, you almost feel like you have walked... More

We stayed for 6 nights and had a great time with beautiful weather. The Chalet is an excellent base for enjoying the different aspects of Bright and surrounding area. It is within easy walking distance of the town, the art gallery (where the annual exhibition was on), the Ovens River where we saw a platypus every afternoon, and several other... More
