My partner booked 'Hideaway Cottage' for 3 nights to celebrate my 40th birthday. Spoke with the owner just before arrival, got the key code for the door and found the cottage in perfect shape with all the food needed for 2 days of great breakfasts, as well as some food for the ducks. This is the best place we've stayed so far. Perfect for a cosy winter getaway. The lake and the friendly ducks provide a very soothing effect. The vineyard is just next door. We stayed in "Cupid's Cottage" and although we love going away, we can be fairly critical. But this place was great! The fact that you collect the key from a small safe at the cottage when you arrive, rather than checking in at a reception desk, makes it feel like your own private weekend cottage.
