We paid $500 for a one night stay in the Orlando Suite on a Thurs night! It was a lovely 2 bedroom suite yes ...but the price is v high all things considered! It is a gracious pretty venue, the suite was lovely, the gardens are stunningly pretty - The owners have put in so much work to present a... More

We have just reluctantly left Jacobs Creek Retreat after a 2 night stay celebrating a wedding anniversary. While a little hard to find , once there we fell in love with the surroundings. The Loft suite we occupied was rustic and old world but just as you would have imagined in such historic buildings and such a picturesque location. The... More

This is one of those 'escape from it all' kind of places. It ticked all our boxes - quiet and romantic, yet close enough to drive to restaurants and cafes (plus vineyards of course). Breakfast was delicious and Charles could not have been more helpful - we will be back....

We had booked to stay at Jacobs Creek Retreat as part of our honeymoon, hoping to enjoy the 'luxury boutique' accommodation described on the website. Although the rate was quite high ($370/night), we wanted to treat ourselves, so booked anyway - what a huge mistake! There's a good reason why the owners have a strict no refunds policy - nobody... We came here for our honeymoon as it was recommended to us. We were very disappointed. Our Room was extremely small and cluttered. Spa jets worked intermittently and bed was very uncomfortable. We had no car and didn't bring food and our only access was takeaway for lunch/dinner as in town was booked out. Taxi costs over $20 one way... More

My partner and I travelled from Hong Kong over Easter weekend and stayed in the orchard room- it was an absolute fairy tale. The beautiful antiques, the picturesque views and the attention to detail was just perfection. The whole feel of the retreat was that of a Tuscan hideaway ( with a rose garden to rival Kew gardens!) and the... More

Stayed here with friends and what a relaxing place this is. From the moment you arrive you feel at peace in the spacious grounds with old world charm. Charles was so helpful and informative and made everyone feel so comfortable from arrival to departure. Our rooms were very comfortable and the staff efficient and helpful to us. Had no problem... Jacobs Creek retreat is truly a beautiful experience where you can really get away from the rest of the world. The rooms are delightful and the gardens are magnificent, my husband and I fell in love with this place. The service is very friendly and we want to say a big thank you to Charles for his great service, we... More

On a romantic weekend away in South Australia we decided late to stay at the Barossa Valley...booked this retreat, mistakenly thinking it was linked to one of my regular wines...Jacobs Creek. We had a bit of confusion finding the place as we first went to Jacobs Creek winery, where we were told they had no bookings for their voltages that night.I felt a... We have been touring Australia and this is one of the highlights of our travel. We were met by Charles , what an absolute gentleman, who showed us our room and then a guided tour with history of the grounds. He even arranged evening meals in local restaurants which was really good as we had no idea of where to... More
