Jacob Creek Retreat, not to be confused with Jacobs Creek Winery. Lovely location in the Barossa Valley. Ideal location to visit major vineyards in the area. Retreat itself needs a little TLC, Moderisation necessary in the major rooms. All rooms not kitted the same. Bathroom, jacuzzi, nice touch, but slightly dated. Swimming pool is a recent addition, pool chairs and... More

Fabulous accommodation, wonderful gardens & grounds, yummy breakfast served in the pavilion and great pizza (thanks Wyndham!). Expensive ... But very very nice. And did I mention the wine from Moorooroo park??

Set in delightful English/French gardens, full of beautiful plants, such as in the David Austen Rose Garden, Jacob's Creek Retreat is in a quiet but convenient location. The grounds are very extensive, with multiple quiet, pretty spots to sit privately. The new horizon pool is in a cool oasis of calm and beauty. The rooms are private, nicely furnished with... More

It is pretty clear driving in that if isolation and peaceful quiet space if what you need, this is your place. In reading some reviews, one this is very correct: do not come here without a car and be sure to stop at the grocery for some provisions first. You will need them. There is only hot water kettle and... More

Fantastic setup - you could almost be in France with the old buildings and rooms. The whole site is very well maintained and Charlie is a great source of information on local wineries and things to do. We stayed in a two story room which I would not recommend it for families with very young children or people with mobility... More

We paid $500 for a one night stay in the Orlando Suite on a Thurs night! It was a lovely 2 bedroom suite yes ...but the price is v high all things considered! It is a gracious pretty venue, the suite was lovely, the gardens are stunningly pretty - The owners have put in so much work to present a... More

We have just reluctantly left Jacobs Creek Retreat after a 2 night stay celebrating a wedding anniversary. While a little hard to find , once there we fell in love with the surroundings. The Loft suite we occupied was rustic and old world but just as you would have imagined in such historic buildings and such a picturesque location. The... More

This is one of those 'escape from it all' kind of places. It ticked all our boxes - quiet and romantic, yet close enough to drive to restaurants and cafes (plus vineyards of course). Breakfast was delicious and Charles could not have been more helpful - we will be back....

We had booked to stay at Jacobs Creek Retreat as part of our honeymoon, hoping to enjoy the 'luxury boutique' accommodation described on the website. Although the rate was quite high ($370/night), we wanted to treat ourselves, so booked anyway - what a huge mistake! There's a good reason why the owners have a strict no refunds policy - nobody... We came here for our honeymoon as it was recommended to us. We were very disappointed. Our Room was extremely small and cluttered. Spa jets worked intermittently and bed was very uncomfortable. We had no car and didn't bring food and our only access was takeaway for lunch/dinner as in town was booked out. Taxi costs over $20 one way... More
