TANUNDA HOTEL APARTMENTS Tanunda is a beautiful little town in the Barossa Valley, South Australia. It has an abundance of little interesting little shops, vineyards creating some of Australia’s best wines, a fantastic Performing Arts Centre, one of the best German Wurst House and Bakery in Australia and the Tanunda Hotel Apartments. The apartments are off the main road, in... More

I have just spent a night in one of the Tanunda Hotels Apartments (studio) and will never bother to stay there again. The location of the apartments at the rear of the hotels carpark is less than ideal as you have to put up with the noise of the hotels patrons until around 2.30am. The studio apartment itself is reasonably... More

Don't expect fantastic accomodation here but the value for money is outstanding. Disappointing that no breakfast is available outside weekends.

We didn't stay in the hotel, but passing through the Barossa Valley, we ate at their restaurant/pub. We ordered at the bar and the staff was friendly and helpful. Wasn't sure what to expect, but when our food was brought to the table, we were extremely impressed! My hubby had a burger and chips, and there was nothing but crumbs... More

I booked an apartment for one night costing $200.00. The Tanunda Hotel charged $100.00 to my credit card confirming my booking. I received a phone call from the hotel six days after booking) advising that the apartment had been double booked and that, because they were now fully booked, I no longer had a room. Apparently there is a wedding... More

I'm a bit shocked at previous reviews - we found dining here the complete opposite! We were given good advice on which bottle of wine to try, our meals came out promptly, my daughter (fussy) said she had the best caesar salad ever! Meals were on the pricer side but we thought $ well spent.

We did a day trip to the Barossa with some interstate visitors, and thought the pub looked like a decent place from the outside. Unfortunately that's about the only nice thing to say about it. The service was abrupt and bordering on rude, the prices were very high for lunchtime and the meals were almost inedible. Obviously the chef does... More

Worst ever looked great from outside walked in looked pretty crappy, but thought oh well must just be old fashioned. Sat down to look at the menu which was limited and looked very average but still thought oh well I guess they like it, then u looked at the prices 23 for a schnitzel with kilpatrick sauce oh well guess... I have to share this as it was the worst experince I've every had at a lunch time meal. We took our friends here who had 2 children for lunch. It was relatively busy and we sat outside in " the barrels" as it was called. We ordered our food and first drinks about 10 mins after we arrived. We... More

Me and my wife just went for a quiet meal at the Tanunda Hotel, we're from Adelaide and have eaten at some nice Argentinian restuarants in the past. I going to have to say that the filet mignon cooked rare was the best steak I've ever had. We didn't stay in the hotel and the place was extremely quiet for... More
