My friends and I stayed at the lakeside manor over new years 2011/2012 and we all LOVED it there! We all commented on how beautiful the place was and that the rooms were so much larger than anticipated. My boyfriend and I stayed in the en-suite bedroom and thought it was amazing! We were given complementary wine and chocolate and... More

My email to the owners after our stay (of which Ive had no response) should say it all... Hi, I am writing this unfortunately with disappointment with our stay on the weekend from 9th Dec 2011. I got a Living Social deal (as attached below) for the 3 nights and rang up for it to be upgraded to the spa... More

My family and I recently stayed at this 18th century Manor and we were thoroughly impressed. The room had a real charm about it with a superb view onto the English style gardens. Inside the room was clean, decorative and comfortable. The kids enjoyed the outside playground and TV room while we enjoyed the library and the wine and cheese... More

dont get me wrong great building, nice dorms and very spacious with its library and english country house feel, however when I spoke on the phone to book the hosts were rude and put the phone down on me for no reason. Forced to stay there (cheapest by far) we got there to the host child peeing in the flower... More

The lovely owners have recently taken over this beautiful building which used to be a YHA hostel, and are in the process of turning it into the boutique hotel they wish it to be. They are honouring the old YHA bookings, and the last backpackers will leave in March. The double rooms are huge, and beautifully furnished. Some rooms don't... More

This place is a backpacker hotel, not a "luxury hotel"as they advertised to us. The toilet didn't work. No toiletries were provided (including soap), no air-conditioning – not even a fan – and the windows didn’t open; no tea or coffee facilities; and the sheets were rags. The bathroom was mouldy and…I could go on for ever – suffice to... More

This place is absolutely adorable! In love with the old architecture and character of this YHA. It isn't your average hostel by any means its got a very homey B&B feel. Which makes sense because I think the managers family lives there! The kids were a bit loud and could have been better contained but it was still a great... More

Whilst not the most central location, it is a beautiful old home set on a picturesque lake with beautiful gardens for guests to enjoy. Sadly, it is a bit chaotic. The first room we were put in we realized quite late had no curtains and no working lights (although a very pretty room). The next room had a door that... More

Hot clean showers were just what we needed after our drive from Adelaide, the kitchen had everything a master chef needs to cook up a... More

Getting there: This place was recommended to me by my friend and when I went into the tourist office in Adelaide they also recommended it so I thought OK , let's go. I booked the bus at the Adelaide Tourist Office and it was a 3 hour journey to get to Robe, dropping me off at the petrol station just... More
