I stayed with my partner for one night, and largely booked because of the comments on tripadvisor. I was a little disappointed. The place is quite a modern build, "heritage style" guest house, and while it is comfortable, it just didn't have the character or romance of other places I have stayed in the Barossa. A username linked to my computer was used by a party to write a review which painted an adverse picture of the proprietors. I would like to correct this by stating that we had a relaxing stay at the Abbotsford topped off with a hearty breakfast, good wine, good company and magnificent views. more

We really enjoyed our stay here. The room was large and comfortable with little extras like sherrry and truffles awaiting us. The view was spectacular with idyllic vistas. Our hosts were very helpful and welcoming. Breakfast in the morning was wonderful - one of the best we had while in Australia for a month. more
