My wife and I have talked about getting away for a romantic weekend for some time and finally did it it! I looked at a number of locations and settled on the Old Telegraph Station. We are absolutely delighted we did! Only twenty minutes drive from where we live so it wasn't too far away. This was a surprise weekend... More

We only stayed here 1 night, but it would have been fabulous if we could have stayed a few more days. We loved that it was located in Greenock - a great location close to a pub, beautiful scenery and some of the best wineries around - away from the busier communities of Kapunda and Nooriutpa. The B&B is well... More

In recent weeks I had the opportunity to visit the wine region north of Adelaide and based the day trips at the quiet little hamlet of Greenock. Situated equidistant between the busier communities of Kapunda and Nooriutpa, Greenock is a jewel serviced by a service station / general store, post office, hairdresser and hotel. Without doubt the gemstone of this... More

Stayed for 2 nights recently, charming cottage like stepping back in time.Within walking distance of some wineries, local pub/restaurant 200m down the road, perfect location to base yourself for a tour of the valley. It was the little touches that make this though, the locally produced food left for you to make use of,the fine BBQ at the back of the property, board games&books for... More

My wife and I stayed for 7 nights and were extremely impressed with the quality of presentation, facilities, provisions and also the cosiness of the cottage. We really loved the location of the cottage in the centre of such a small town and enjoyed walks down to the local pub as well as the proximity to the rest of the... More

I'm glad you enjoyed your time in Greenock and the Barossa Valley. Yes, it is a small town but the people are friendly and there are all the facilities needed, and it is no further from wineries than the major towns. We try to provide enough provisions for breakfast, with choices, and I'm pleased to hear that was appreciated. We... More

When planning our trip to Australia with a stop in the Barossa Valley, we happened to spot this place and liked the idea of having a nice house with a history behind it. Greenock itself may not be the place one falls in love with, but when you enter this little gem, you immediately feel like home and can fully... More

The perfect place for my wife and I and our two old girls to unwind. Sue could certainly teach a lot of budding b&b operators how to present a perfect house. With an emphasis on local produce, the provisions at the house were excellent and have renewed our passion for fresh and local producers. A short walk to the local... More

We stayed at The Old Telegraph for two days. It was in a very quiet location and really close to the Murray St Winery. The Telegraph Station had a country cottage feel and was clean with all the amenities we needed for a short break.

What a wonderful place to base yourself in the Barossa Valley. We recently had a weekend at this little gem and had a terrific time. The cottage was clean, well appointed, very comfortable and in a great, quiet location. The locals were very welcoming as well. The breakfast supplies were great as were the nice little extra touches like the... More

When we opened the door it was like stepping back in time into this beautiful and unique cottage. We were staying in the Barossa for two nights and could have stayed here for the duration with its old world charm, log fire, complimentary wine and port, plentiful breakfast provisions and spa bath to boot. There's a beautiful back yard and... More

Thank you for taking the time to write a review about your stay at the cottage. The cottage is well over a century old and we are lucky enough to be the current custodians of it. Retaining its old world charm and not hiding it's history is important to us. Regards, Sue. More
