Loved the ambiance of the hotel, room was large and had a balcony. We were after a non expensive couple of days and Bompas fit the bill. Staff were great, meals really good and filling. Close to the beach and shops.

My friend and I wanted a budget stay and got this here. We paid $88 for a room with queen size bed and a single, frig, wash basin etc but with the bathroom down the hall. As we were the only guests, that was quite acceptable. Very quiet and the beds were comfortable, I would recommend it if you wish... More

Wednesday $15 asian special which was at best ok but adequate for lunch though I'm not a Chinese lover as majority of places are ordinary and lack taste. Not much here but would try elsewhere. However if you want a nice view you may want to try other menu choices.

I travel between Adelaide and Mt gambier every month as working reason since late 2013. Bompas is always the good place to relax. My nearest trip there was two weeks ago to host a big dinner for my boss's parents. They came from overseas for a 10 days holiday in australia and this is the only night they will stay... More

We four girls were organising a surprise for one of the group's special birthday. I took the time to call the hotel, twice and spoke to Tammy, then Sarah. Having visited before, I asked for a specific room since I knew it was large enough to accommodate all of us. Yes, we could have it - NO, WE DIDN'T GET... More

Stay here but do not eat here! The King sized ensuite room has a lovely view and is quite comfy. TV is tiny and lighting a trifle dim. Due to bad weather we ate downstairs and it was the worst meal of our holiday. Seafood platter had the flavour of stale oil and was essentially fish and chip shop standard... More

Had lunch there and wasn't satisfied. Nice location and service was good. The seafood platter entree for two was a big plate of deep fried seafood. Made the wife feel unwell later in the day. Maybe just her bad choice as some people would enjoy it. The only fish being offered was battered flake. I went for grilled and was... More

Driving home to SA after a week or so in Victoria we decided to stay at Bompas, where my husband had previously stayed and loved. We had the upstairs corner room with a beautiful view of the ocean but unfortunately it was too cool to use the expansive verandah. Lovely old room but a bit neglected....no heating or electric blankets... More
