My wife and I spent 3 enjoyable nights stay at this historic 2 bedroom cottage, which is located about 100m off the main road and shops in Angaston. This ensures you won't be bothered by road noise. Sue and Ken have thought of everything to make the stay memorable, including a small table and chairs, and BBQ at the rear... More

We've previously stayed at Walnut Cottage and were so impressed that we flew in from the ever ridiculously priced Western Australia for a second time. This time bringing the children, we needed the additional space available in Acorn Cottage. Value for money, location, comfort - it's all here. We paid extra for the breakfast provisions and enjoyed them for the... More

We stayed here on our first trip to the Barossa recently, not knowing where to stay I was very glad that we ended up in the cottage. It is perfectly placed to give easy access to all the must visit sites. The house was spotless clean and all the little extra touches made such a difference to our stay, especially... More

We stayed here for 3 nights on a recent trip to the Barossa. We found this to be a lovely, comfortable cottage, only a short walk from the town centre (and the excellent Blond Cafe). It was really the little extras that made our visit amazing - Sue had left huge amounts of food for breakfast, wine, chocolates and little... More

We stayed here on a recent trip to the Barossa for 4 nights. I was very impressed with the welcome package we recieved on arrival. This is a wonderful cottage for a couple of friends or family group. Kitchen is well appointed, BBQ out the back and it is close to all the wineries. Angaston is a great town with... More

We recently stayed for 4 nights and wish we could have stayed longer. We had stayed a couple of times at Walnut Cottage, the cottage right across the road and also owned by Sue, and as we were returning with family wanted a bit more room. Acorn cottage has 3 bedrooms and a lovely sized lounge and kitchen. We made... More

Having stayed at many similar types of accommodation both in Australia and overseas we rate Acorn Cottage among the best. Nothing beats a cold winters holidfay better than a glass of wine in front of a warm fire in a wonderfully appointed cottage. Everything we required was provided including plenty of food and a lovely bottle of Red. Great cottage... More

I echo the previous reviews - Sue has a beautiful, spacious cottage and has provisioned it with wonderful things - we especially enjoyed the wholemeal bread, as well as all the other goodies. Location is excellent, just off the main street, in a lovely town. Our on;y regret is that we would like to have some friends with us next... More

Acorn Cottage truly was a wonderful place to stay. Not only was it beautiful it was extremely well appointed and every detail really did seem to have been taken care of - the fire was set, fabulous breakfast provisons, books, cd's, dvd's, games all available, complimentary port, chocolates and homemade biscuits and a very comprehensive information folder. The kitchen was... More
