We stayed in their 2 bedroom apartment (no. 22) which was located in the top floor. The apartment was well appointed with everything we needed including a washer and dishwasher. There is covered garage for 2 cars and the beach is 5 mins walk. Recommend that you buy all your food apart from seafood on the mainland. A good fresh... More

This resort is nothing fancy but has all the comforts of home. We stayed in a studio apartment that had not long been refurbished. It was clean and comfortable and had everything we required for a pleasant 3 day stay. The grounds are impecably kept, with a full size tennis court and resort style pool. It is located within walking... More

- we stayed in a first floor 2 bdrm apartment, with 2 adults & 2 toddlers. - excellent value for money, given there was a newish renovated bathroom / laundry & fully appointed self-contained kitchen. - there was loads of space in the apartment for our kids to play & a large balcony with table & chairs. - sounds of... We stayed 3 nights in 2 x 2 bedroom apartments with 2 toddlers and 5 adults. The rooms were huge and equipped with everything you need. We were able to cook dinner at the apartment each night. The location is perfect, walking distance to the beach and the pub, with the main shops of point lookout a short drive away.... More

We had a 2 night stay recently in a studio room. The value for money was good. The room was clean, mostly renovated & comfortable. We were disappointed that we didn't have a deck or balcony, & was unaware when we booked that there were 35 steps up to the studio apartment. There was no under-cover parking for this apartment... We booked at the last minute and found that the property was well priced. We booked through Ray White and went with room "13a". It was newly refurbished and had most things you need for a long weekend. Pro's: Location was great, Clean, modern and comfortable and has close access to the roof. Con's: No air-con, room is rather bright... More

Pros: Location-within walking distance to some lovely beaches ie Flinders and Home Beach, the Bowls Club (doesn't have Foxtel), Cafe next door and the North Straddie Pub (has Foxtel). Cons: Very outdated, basic and smelly rooms. We stayed in 7A and a friend stayed in 8A, both were the same and are in dire need of a refurbishment. Management very... More

I wonder how loud your 'quiet conversation' outside your unit was. The unit block is very solidly built (even if the internal wall between your units is not soundproof). If the noise level was enough for the manager to receive a complaint at 1030pm, he would have no alternative but to check it out, as this is quite late for... More

We had a lovely stay at The Islander Resort. It is quite dated but it really doesn't matter. The unit was far cleaner than a lot of 5 star places I've stayed in. It was plenty big enough for our family of 5. The grounds are immaculate, the tennis court a great addition and the pool very refreshing. Home beach... More

Overall the apartment was clean and functional - clearly repainted and a new bathroom installed recently. New couches and curtains would make the atmosphere more comfortable. Unfortunately you can hear every word spoken in the adjoining apartment. The facilities -pool, gas bbq and tennis equipment are all well serviced and free. There was also a library of DVDs to choose... More

We stayed for 3 nights and found the room to be clean and comfortable. Our room had a modern kitchen and bathroom and all appliances worked well. We loved the old rustic feel to the place. Lovely pool and gardens and nice bbq area. Kids had fun playing in the tennis court and pool. Overall great accomodation for a great... More
