Had an amazing time doing the self-drive/tag along 3-day-2-night tour to Fraser Island through this hostel (I think the company that took us were Rainbow Beach Adventure Company). Our tour guide Muzza was hilarious and worked really hard to make sure everyone was having a good time. The island was beautiful, the only downside was how quickly the 3 days... More

The "smile" sign at the reception should be put down as the staff is very rude. After a huge deposit, you get a basic room with freezing aircon - they refuse to turn it on during the day. The kitchen is badly equipped and very dirty. Cutlery are insufficient and rusty. Bins do not close. I enjoyed the morning tea... More

Rooms were clean and spacious. The pool was a bit filthy but pretty cool chill out area on hammocks and stuff.. Free pancakes for breakfast and really good meal deals. Only bad thing was staff were extremely rude like so bad that a lot of people staying there had there own story to tell.. But luckily we didn't have to... More

We stayed here for three nights. The dorms were clean and spacious enough and they all had en suite bathroom. There was a pool area and an area with hammocks in it for relaxing. The hostel ran great food promotions and drink offers at happy hour. Meals for $6 and jugs of beer (2 pints) for $11. There is a... More

We just stayed here one night, but really liked it. They have meal deals every night for dinner and free pancakes for breakfast if you wake up at 7! We relaxed in hammocks just by the pool, reading and escaping the sun. The hostel grounds are very charming and green. The rooms are spacious and clean, with their own bathroom... More

We had to spend more time at Dingos than we had wanted, total of 3 nights before Frasers and 1 after. Many people had written bad reviews and we had heard bad things about Dingos and, up until now avoided party hostels like the plague, so we headed there with nervous trepidation. However, we were pleasantly surprised. The rooms were... More

I stayed here before going to Fraser's Island. I had a lovely time while staying here. The staff were always friendly when I had any questions. The rooms were very clean and tidy. They had burritos for $6 so it was a nice change from always having to cook while traveling. It's in a great location close to the beach... More

This is it! What a phenomenal setup they have here. The hostel itself is a pretty basic place to stay, but you're likely only going to be there for 2 nights (1 before your trip and 1 after it). What sets this place apart are the tours to Fraser Island. Out of this world!

Something I really dislike in hostels, is the private bathroom in a shared room. It is dirtier than usual common toilets in hostels. I stayed in a 8 share and often I had to wait to shower while this does not happen in hostels where there are many common restrooms. I appreciated the common sink and table in the room... More

Stayed here before and after a trip to Frazier Island . Did a package tour where you get put into groups and sent off for a week on a remote island. The group I was with all got on and helped each other camp / cook / wash and stay safe. Was the ultimate bonding experience and you have your... More
