Fraser Island itself was a great experience however the camping facilities were deplorable. Dirty dishes, no soap, no hot water, no dish cloths, dirty washrooms, no pillows. It could be a fantastic spof if upgraded. Your rules should include.... No brushing teeth in kitchen sink, clean up after yourselves, and turn off music at midnight or at least by 1.... More

Stayed in the hostel the night before and after our fraser Island tour. Its your basic hostel, not fabulous not awful. Its clean and the staff are friendly. Only complaint is that you have to give a $20 deposit for a blanket and I think considering it was winter these should be provided when you get there. Other than that... More

I slept 2 nights at the dingos backpacker in a 8-bed-room. The rooms were ok and very clean and the kitchen also. The pool area is very nice to relax and i had a lot of fun on the karaoke-nights. I did the Fraser Island Tour (3 days) with Dingos and it was awesome and one of my best adventures... More

Stayed at Dingos 2 nights before and 1 night after my Fraser tour! Staff were very friendly and helpful, rooms were clean, beds were comfy, showers are AMAZING! What more do you want??? And the pancakes every morning are awesome but you have to get up early.

The only reason I didn't give all five stars is bc the first time I stayed for a night my shower had no pressure and not much hot water, however, when I returned from Fraser Island (a must do with Cool Dingo!) I had a new room with a lovely shower. The bar was good, kitchen clean, rooms were clean... More

My girlfriend and I had booked the Fraser Island tag-along tour through Peter Pan's with a nights stay either side in Dingos Hostel. It's a good social hostel, the bar has a good drinks promos which is handy cause there ain't much else to see or do around the town area. We had an absolute great bunch of people on... More

The hostel has a nice pool, good open air kitchen and a social eating area. There's nothing to do in rainbow beach so only come for The Fraser Island trip. The tour was well organised and we stayed in a campsite surrounded by a fence to keep the dingos out. So much depends on how well you get on with... More

Had my best night meeting people in dingo'a super social bar. Credit due to the friend English barmaid who kept the place going (must be because she's smart enough to do a maths degree). We stayed in camper van around the back. This was ok. No power, but showers etc good. Owner was really moody in the morning when trying... More

I stayed in this backpacker for two nights. It is clean and the stuff is very friendly. For dinner it offers you meals for 6 dollar. They are tasty but the portion are too small so you have to order again one or you must go to the next supermarket if you are too hungry. However, I booked my tour... More
