We checked in on a Friday night after hours, the lovely lady at the restaurant helped us out, we also ordered takeaway meals as the on site restaurant was closing - most amazing meals (surf and turf $28 and just brilliant!!) We had a three bedroom unit, there was make up on the opposite side of my pillow, little bugs... More

Dear Ofsoski We have recently assumed the management of the resort and we are addressing the impact private functions have on guests in terms of access to the restaurant & bar. The bar was open during the day, and became a private function at 5PM. Apologies over he make-up on the pillow slip, and this will be addressed with housekeeping.... More

Got given daily $15 room vouchers for our stay. I wanted a beer but, no staff around the bar to get me one. The facilities are run down. No one eats or drinks here. The golf course is turd. Mould in shower. Drainage issues. Wet patio in rain. Thumb down

Dear John M, Reviews are always appreciated, and this one appears to have been coloured by the inclement weather. There was also a private wedding function on this week-end, however the bar is open from 10.00 am and is always manned, through either reception directly opposite or by F & B staff. As a new management team we are addressing... More

Stayed here with my kids for 3 nights in the Easter holidays, the apartment was nice and clean had everything that we needed. The resort is quiet and relaxing, no one bothered us (just how we like it haha). Staff were nice, was a nice walk along the beach to rainbow, would stay again :)

I give this place a 9/10. Our forth stay here was for our wedding in October 2014. We stayed in a one bedroom surfside villa. The villa was fantastic, and only a short walk to the beach, and a step away from one of the four pools. There is nothing like falling asleep to the sound of waves. It was... More

Stayed for two nights in a 1 bedroom surf side villa. It was the perfect size for a couple. 3 levels of stairs so you need to be mobile to go up and down the levels. Level 1 entry, Level 2 kitchen/dinning and lounge area with a good sized balcony, Level 3 has bedroom, bathroom and laundry. Lovely views and... More

Have just spent 4 days 3 nights here, very pleasant surroundings and the rooms were clean and spacious, didn't get to see all that was available at the resort, the bar prices for drinks were not over the top and the bar staff were always pleasant, we had the buffet breakfast on the 2nd morning, for the price asked it... Originally the reason we stayed was the price but now we stay cause the kids love it. The units that we stayed in overlooked the tennis courts. There are some that look a lot older and we haven't stayed in those so I can't comment on them. Anyway the unit block we stay in is good. The bathroom is modern... More

Thanks CindyW for your review. New resort management took over from Mantra late last year and we are going down the route of being kids friendly with revamped menus where in many instances kids eat free. Glad you enjoyed your stay and look forward to welcoming you again to the resort when you next travel to Rainbow Shores. More

We stayed for the weekend the last of August. Quiet, relaxing, perfect recovery stay. The kids loved the upstairs bedrooms, though I could see some families would be wary of the stairs. The beach access was the best I found, a bush track as it should be. The only critique I would have is for the restaurant. The food was... More

Thanks for your review Toni S. there is ew resort management in place and no longer a Mantra property. The resort is getting old and the units reflect that, however, they are clean and well maintained. We had a top floor unit #16 (3 floors up no lift) at the end of the block overlooking the bush which was great for sitting on the good sized balcony. The appliances were in good condition with a washer and dryer in... More
