Unexpected lack of cleanliness and facilities In a Covid world cleanliness is of utmost importance. In this regard - Our accommodation at Rainbow beach Holiday park was a total let down. We start with the dirty / stained white on the outside of the front door curtains - unfortunately this is the very first thing we see when we unlock the front door. Then there is the fact that when you step into the shower, you immediately notice that the shower tiles have far too much black mould in their grouting - begs the question - when last was this cleaned of mould? Certainly we have not seen this in most other accommodations! Then there's were unsightly holes in the living room floor. To top it off, the internet was an absolute disaster - measured at a measly 0.26mps with a

Hi sorry that you did not have a good experience when you stayed at our park. We will take your comments on board. Our cleaners are very particular as we are also. We are presently slowly renovating all our older cabins and installing new cabins. We also have plans for very near future for a pool. I do understand that the internet is slow this is a problem in all of rainbow beach especially when the town becomes crowed. We are working hard on improving our park so everyone's stay is a positive one.

It was absolutely lovely staying at Rainbow Beach Holiday Park. Check-in and out was smooth and very friendly staff. The camp ground is spacious, we found a wonderful little spot under the trees, not too close to other families as we were quite a big group and didn't want to annoy anyone. The amenities are very clean and up to date. We had everything we needed within a 5min drive to Rainbow Beach Town Centre. Value for money is great! I would recommend bringing some good mozzy repellent but that is just part of camping! Definitely recommend this to anyone!

I was very sceptic about camping here after reading some average online reviews. It turned out to be a great holiday for us. Within the first hour we got to go down and see dolphins swimming up to us in the water Infront of our campsite. I forgot my extension cord to connect to power and the ladies at the office were so lovely and lended us one. The midgies were as bad as the reviews though. You have to really keep on top of the inspect repellant

Really enjoyed this park. Clean toilets and showers. Easy check in, friendly staff, and a great spot right across from the beach. We stayed 2 nights and could have stayed longer. This is close to the Main Street in Rainbow Beach

We camped in a powered site - on mainly dirty sand, no grass to speak of. Amenities good and modern, but (I’m assuming because the park wasn’t full) half the showers were locked. Once you get past the cabins there are no sealed, or even gravel, walkways, more dirty sand between the sites and the shower block. Heaps of campsites, and they shoved the 10 or so campers into one corner, so we were all on top of each other. Who knows why. Midgies shocking, bring repellent. Probably won’t be back.

Hi Tracey, thank you for your review and comments. Due to the location on the beachfront we do have a lot of sand, especially after the busy Christmas period. We are looking to improve the roads up the back in near future. Thank you again, we will take all this feedback on board and look to improve. We hope to welcome you back soon.

Being novice campers, we decided to book a powered site, this turned out to be an error as it was like pitching a tent on sand, we would have been much better off booking an unpowered site which would have been predominantly grass. The facilities were really good, the showers and toilets were amongst the cleanest we had encountered as was the kitchen. There were plenty of BBQs around to cook on, or if you preferred, there were hobs, a microwave, toaster, coffee making facilities (BYO) and a hot water dispenser available in the kitchen. The site is located on the southern end of the Great Sandy Strait and as such the waters are very shallow even at high tide, be aware though, the sand can be incredibly smelly and the odour hangs around for ages. Mosquitos and sand flies are a

The facilities were good, especially for kids and the area was nice and not far to get to rainbow beach and inskip point. We stayed in a two bedroom cabin and unfortunately the bed was terribly uncomfortable. You could feel the springs when you laid down and each time you moved. My hubby had to go sleep on one of the bunk beds as his legs were over the end and couldn't deal with the springs. I endured it but woke with a sore back each morning. The fridge stunk of bait (not the fault of the park but because its a fishing town) but it was so bad we had to leave our food in our esky and buy new ice each day. The sofa was also uncomfortable but tolerable. We unfortunately would not return, only because the beds were just too uncomfortable. It does look like new cabins are being

Sand fly and mosquitoes force us to end holiday earlier. It was bad experience as my son went to see doctor urgently and finally need medication. It started the first night and really can’t enjoy relax time as we expected and the itchy became worse and worse. We had 4 families to stay there this time however none of us were lucky enough. The facilities are great. I also wish the credit can be used other big 4 parks while been told only the same site.

Thank you for your feedback and sorry you didn't have the most enjoyable time when onsite. The midgies can be bad from time to time, we do sell repellent in the office to assist, however this is the nature of our location. Hopefully we can welcome you back another time.
