very old style motel, needs updating. Small TV. No breakfast. But you can wander up the street and get something so its not an issue. And the surf club is just up the road for dinner/drinks overlooking the beach. The room was clean enough and the shower hot. No noise from other rooms. So all you can expect from a... More

My husband and I stayed at Rainbow Sands for two nights and found it very spacious and clean. We chose to stay in an apartment rather than the motel room and were very glad we paid the extra $10-$15. The decor is slightly dated but the size of the apartments more than makes up for this. The bathroom/laundry was very... More

Spent 5 days and nights here in January 2014. Everything was clean and comfortable. Because we went with our 17 and 21 year old sons we booked two adjacent rooms. We had the larger one which had a full kitchen, thank goodness, because we needed to prepare breakfast, packed lunches and dinner every day (saved a lot of money that... More

We stayed here over Christmas and had a great time. Between my extended family and myself, we booked 2 apartments and 3 motel rooms. None of us had any problems. The pool is great for the kids, the rooms were clean and well-equipped and the location is superb. The beds were comfortable, the owners friendly and check-in and -out was... More

Nice enough room but that was pretty much overshadowed by the fact that someone had left bait in the fridge and the fridge had not been cleaned properly. So the bait juice was still in it. Every time we opened the fridge we had the stench of old fish to contend with. We ended up burning incense. Not nice. On our... More

We booked our room here less than 24 hours before arriving to rainbow beach one of very few places that had vacancy's, which I was grateful for but a bit dubious as why was it still half empty, but what a lovely place, everything you could want and more for the extremely competitive price, only $16 dollars per night more... Stayed here while on a tour and was impressed with the standard. It is a motel so basic but room was big with kitchenette, a small balcony and a really nice new bathroom. Great value for money and would recommend to couples, families or backpackers

Budget accomodation at a budget price so don't expect too much. The rooms appeared to be clean enough - although I'm bit dubious about our bedroom. The manager was very friendly however and it was close enough to Rainbow Beach for our spontaneous overnight stay.

We booked to stay here for the night before going to Fraser Island. All hopes of a good nights sleep went out the window when we sat on the mattress. Sleeping on a lump of concrete might have been more comfortable!!! The air conditioning unit didn't work and there was definitely no sound proofing as sound travelled from every room... More

Booked this location as it was one of the cheapest options to stay for a wedding at Rainbow Beach. Room was generally clean, however, cutlery and crockery didn't look to be washed from the last use. Very basic room, no iron or hairdryer, bed wasn't the most comfortable and had booked a queen bed only to receive a double bed... More
