Stayed at Timber Creek Hotel in late July at $169 a night - corporate booking. What can one say about Timber Creek and its rooms - it's a time warp. The rooms have not been touched since maybe the late sixties and are in desperate need of a major overall. Actually it looks like not a cent has been invested... More

When I asked why we were paying $110 for a room where the TVs isn't even digital and doesn't work I got a shrug and told I was in outback Australia, like that should be enough. We had to wait an hour till 3.15 pm for the room to be cleaned. The amenities block was clean but the door handle... More

Good shop, nice staff, plenty of water for van's shower BUT so glad didn't have use toilet block much. Yes it is old and reasonably clean but needs some serious, simple maintenance. Unhealthy main door rope handle, toilet door lock not catching, no paper towels, and shower and toilet cubicles tiny. Not worth $30 for 2.

The guy in the store was very pleasant and we thought the camp sites were okay, not all that clearly marked, so hubby went back to check if we were camped in the right place. It was very quiet with no other tent campers in the un-powered area when we arrived at 3 pm, so we had our pick of... More

Stopped over for one night, rather than being on the road at dark. Staff were friendly & this is the only bonus. The motel room was basic to say the least. Basic were used to when travelling but basic, dirty and really smelly we don't handle. Bacteria breeds in dust, well the bathroom vent would have been a host for... More

Stayed at the Caravan Park.. luckily only paid for 1 night as $30.00 is too dear to pay for tired & grungy, not to mention a very "COLD" shower. I'm from Tassie and I dont do cold showers.. ever! And that my friends was my welcome to the NT. Could be a real haven for campers if they just improved... More

We stopped in and took a powered site on our way through to Lake Argyle. Check in guy was friendly and told us to pick any spot we liked. We drove around the back and found the place deserted and all of sites located under huge shady trees. Great! We picked out site and started setting up, but something was... More

I don't know what these "guests" leaving 4 and 5 star reviews are smoking but I want some! This place is as basic as a bush motel gets. Think miner's mobile lodging sharing old caravan park facilities. A/C barely cooled our bunk room down after running for 2 hours. Beds sagged, wallpaper peeled, and the restaurant reeked of that fried-chicken-grease-roadhouse... More

Agree with Bill M. Avoid the motel rooms at all costs. Smelly, old, dated and neglected. Entry door located adjacent to the public toilet entry which is used all hours of the day and night. Drunks congregating outside drinking at 10pm. So bad, never been so glad to leave a place in my life. Management should be ashamed charging money... More

There are two caravan parks in Timber Creek, one at either side of the roadhouse. As we were heading north, the Circle F was the first one we came to. Timber Creek seemed like a good place to stop on the way from Kununurra to Katherine, both because of the hour and a half time difference crossing the border, and... More
