Hit Timber Creek at 5pm on the 28th December to be stranded due to Big & Little Horse Creek being flooded & road closed until the 30th. Whilst we stayed next door & not at the pub we did enjoy a meal, some drinks, pool & the juke box on the first night. Friendly bar service, shared the mixed grill... More

Dropped in for dinner, the meal was huge, nicely presented and cooked perfectly. We were kept entertained by some locals and other travellers. The pub is a good place for some great yarns. The pub was a fun friendly place for a meal and a night out. We found people friendly and informative. We will visit again.

I ordered a seafood platter. Here for a work dinner. After a fair wait (I can see why when it arrives) pretty much everything was well and truly over cooked. Okay I'm out bush I hear you say. But this is on a main road and not cheap. At least don't serve prawns that are so cooked there the colour... More

I am disappointed that I wasn't alerted to your meal as I would have preferred you were given another or choose again. Ultimately it should have been refunded, please ensure that you ask for management should you visit again. My Apologises Kind Regards Fiona McDonald More

Stayed for one night, $33, powered site. Lots of shade, but too many bats roosting in tree's and smells of urine. Camped in an open area, OK. Facilities very old and worn, but clean, camp kitchen is very basic, but does the job. Had a Takeaway Works Beef Burger, $11.50, and stuffed full of salads, egg, Bacon, pickles, beetroot, onions,... We were a family of five travelling around for a few months. The camping area behind the pub was simple but very clean and well serviced. Croc feeding at 5.00 is enough to keep you out of the river but the pool was shaded and inviting. Certainly a good spot to stop between Katherine and Kununurra.

this place is very old but was clean and comfortable. The rooms and bathrooms are very old and the restaurant downstairs is quaint and expensive, but this is all to be expected from a remote roadhouse. The crocodile feeding at 5pm was a big plus though, and the backpacker staff all extremely helpful.

I this review with one important fact in mind. This place really is in the middle of nowhere. We stayed at the Park on a powered site for 2 nights. We weren't in a hurry and wanted to explore the area. The site was perfectly adequate, with power, water and a lot of shade from giant leafy trees. We stuck... More

Stayed at Timber Creek Hotel in late July at $169 a night - corporate booking. What can one say about Timber Creek and its rooms - it's a time warp. The rooms have not been touched since maybe the late sixties and are in desperate need of a major overall. Actually it looks like not a cent has been invested... More

HI, I am sorry you had an unpleasant stay at Timber Creek Hotel in August 2015, we have recently purchase the business on 15th October. We are working hard to make changes and improve customer experiences and upgrade the facilities during the next few months. We appreciate you feedback of where to make a priority. Kind Regards Fiona McDonald More

When I asked why we were paying $110 for a room where the TVs isn't even digital and doesn't work I got a shrug and told I was in outback Australia, like that should be enough. We had to wait an hour till 3.15 pm for the room to be cleaned. The amenities block was clean but the door handle... More

I am sorry your stay in July wasn't a great one. It is strange that your room wasn't available by 2pm which is policy. We've only just purchased the Business in October 2015 and working hard to make some changes it does need a lot of work. We take on board your feedback and what we need to improve. Kind... More

Good shop, nice staff, plenty of water for van's shower BUT so glad didn't have use toilet block much. Yes it is old and reasonably clean but needs some serious, simple maintenance. Unhealthy main door rope handle, toilet door lock not catching, no paper towels, and shower and toilet cubicles tiny. Not worth $30 for 2.
