We made the mistake of booking into Litchfield Safari Park for one night - we thought "What the heck, it can't be that bad". How wrong we were. The sites were shady - and that is where I run out of positive things to say. There was little grass, there were thousands of green ants everywhere you looked, the water... More

staying here is ALL about the experience. I was horrified when I read some of the reviews and almost cancelled my booking. But at least I now knew what to expect! Yes the "number 1" tent is below par. I know its in the middle of no where but that is no excuse, the visitor centres around the park are... More

Avoid the tents. Very disappointed. Arrived after a long day touring at around 4pm. Check in was at 2pm. They did not have the tent ready. Waited for half an hour whilst they readied the tent. When we finally got access, it stunk, had big gaps in the flooring, the shower was rusty and their was mould everywhere. The fridge... More

Brilliant location! 5 min drive from Wangi Falls and less than 30mins from Florence Falls. Closest accommodation if you don't have your own tent/caravan. We stayed in the Safari Tent (#1) and had a great weekend in Litchfield over the wet season. The accommodation in the safari tent was a different experience - do not expect a hotel experience -... With a perfect location at the far side of Litchfield National Park, this camp should be making a killing. Sadly, it seems that a lack of any business or hygiene knowledge means that what could be a goldmine is actually a rundown shambles. We have stayed in basic safari tent / cabin-style accommodation all over the Top End so we... More

This is the hardest review I have had to write. We stayed is Tent Number 1, which is a provided tent with ensuite, barbecue, yellow lights, power, washing sink and air-con. This is why the review is hard to write. That is a big specification when you consider that you are no in the middle of nowhere. Plus it is... More

As something a bit different my husband and I booked 3 nights in a safari tent (glamping expected), but this wasn't quite what we got. A comfortable tent with double bed, bunks, fridge, full bathroom, BBQ, air conditioning and a sink is what we got, sounds perfect? But for our $160 per night, glamping is not what we got! The... We stayed in a hired tent. The whole set up was old and tired. The lighting inside was feeble which was good as it hides the shabbiness of the place. There still were some groceries in the fridge from the previous guests. Also the owner keeps chickens and the free roaming rooster starts crowing from 3:30 am.

Stayed in a safari tent with 1 double and a bunk, very old facilities, grounds not maintained. Mosquitoes, geckos, frogs, uncomfortable bed and other noisy campers meant no sleep, wish we had gone straight to Darwin.
