We had an overnighter at Batchelor on the way out west after visiting Litchfield National Park. Comfortable, clean and good sites. We took a site with an en-suite and a washing machine. Good to catch up on the washing. Pub next door is good for a quick meal.

Folks, I am so pleased that you enjoyed the caravan park adjoining Batchelor Resort. I am not surprised that you were very satisfied with your ensuit caravan site. The owners of the caravan park, Jim and Julie, I am confident to say, will have looked after you very well. You make comment about the hotel next door, being good for... More

We chose this resort as it was on the way from Kakadu to Darwin via Pine Creek. The rooms were large and well equipped, overlooking the swimming pool. Parking was conveniently just outside the entrance door. There are two restaurants, the bistro had the more extensive menu during our stay but all meals were good. The shop on site had... More

Robin and I are happy to have been able to help make your visit a success. It was also great, that you were able to take advantage of our location for convenient access to both Litchfield National Park and Darwin International Airport. Bob More

It seems there are kinda two separate sections of Batchelor Resort. One, the first one on Rum Jungle Rd, is the Caravillage..the second, which has the motel, bar bistro and servo. We would recommend the first one. We swung into the second which had the pub for a bevvie .. but ended up at the Rum Jungle Tavern instead. A... More

Please be sure of facts before writing a public statement. Caravillage Caravan Park of which you describe, is not part of Batchelor Resort . It has not been so since my wife and I sold it to Jim and Wendy about March this year, 2013. Your description of the venue you describe, which we designed, built and ultimately sold to... More

A large older style motel. Large room. Bedding needs an update. Bistro and dining room have simple meals. Quiet motel on edge of town and at start of road in to Litchfield NP. Part of a complex which includes petrol pumps and bottle shop which do not impact on the accommodation area.

I have stayed here before. It is simple accomodation but pleasant enough. The reason we were staying here was there was little accomodation in Darwin and what there was, was very expensive, so as we were driving from Daly River it was a good compromise. The rooms are a good size, there is free Wifi for an hour and a... More

The rooms are very large, clean. The beds were comfortable. In need of refurbishment but most places we stayed at seemed to be in the same condition. We ate at the Bistro which looked like an outback pub. Not much choice in food but had chicken with vegies, which was very nice. Normally Mondays is closed but was a public... More

Thank you Kaylene for your review. "Somebody" once stated that cleanliness is next to godliness. I believe the statement, and we act on it, as you have observed. We also believe that in order to have a good nights sleep, the bed must be in good comfortable condition. Your comments confirm that we are working in the right direction. I... More

Pros: dated but large clean room with comfortable beds and usual facilities, simple but clean bathroom, terrace with outside furniture. Cons: overpriced accommodation and internet, less than average bar/restaurant, The staff do not seem to be concerned with guests inquiries /requests, fresh water adduction and cleaning system not operating in the swimming pool, resulting in dust, vegs debris and insects... I stayed at this motel on 10th March and was disappointed in the motel and its location. The motel is old and requires refurbishment. The showers have curtains all round, the furniture is old and tired and the TV sets are ancient with set top box attachments. Batchelor is located at the Southern end of Litchfield national park and is... More

I have read with interest, your critique resulting from your overnight stay at my hotel on 10th March. You state "The showers have shower curtains all round" When you speak of showers plural, you have assumed that showers plural, have shower curtains. Many of the TV sets in the rooms are only a couple of years old, some are as... More

This motel is older but well-constructed -- the rooms are a decent size, the a/c worked well and there wasn't too much noise from the adjacent units. However, it appears that management is not concerned with upkeep. On the outside, there were many weeds, leaves and palm fronds that looked like they have been there forever. The front of the... I have read your critique, You have said that management has no concern for upkeep of the property, yet in the next sentence, you state "The air con worked well". That comfort you experienced is entirely due to a great deal of concern by management for property upkeep. Our aircons are reliable. I know they are, because of the regular... More

It is always a pleasure to help visitors enjoy Australias Northern Territory. Two of our chefs entered my office while I was reading your welcome words of praise.
