The rooms were fine, and our tour group liked that we were right next to the pool. There is only one place to eat dinner here and as a coeliac (gluten free) there was not much for me. I asked what was gluten free and was told that I could have a salad. I'm sure I could have had a... More

Thank you for bringing the problem of our inability to met needs regarding your diet, to my attention. A great many special dietary requirements are met via our kitchen. Usually what happens when a strict diet is required to be catered, we inform the kitchen staff of the needs for the client's diet in advance to give the chef the... More

My partner and I stayed in a ground floor room with a balcony area that had a table & chairs, overlooking the very inviting pool. Our room had everything we needed (no mini-bar) incl. toaster, desk area and very good lighting with proper bedside lamps and a desk lamp. The bed was quite comfortable but the pillows could have been... More

As far as the location of this Motel was concerned, I was very pleased. It was great for an early start for Litchfield National Park, which I strongly recommend. I spent nearly 2 full days in the park. With respect to the resort (AKA Motel), the lady who checked me in was nice, and volunteered lots of extra information, The... More

Thank you for the comments. I am pleased you were able to take advantage of the property being so conveniently located very close to Litchfield National Park. I do not know why it was suggested you utilize the bar for your evening meal instead of our restaurant. Perhaps due to pizzas not being on the restaurant menu, but readily available... More

off the main highway with a nice pool and good beds. Down rooms face your car but you canot access the pool from the room unless you jump over the patio fence. There were few guests so resteraunt was closed . You can walk to front of hotel for a bottle shop and drive a short distance for dinner etc.

Thanks for the comments. Yes, we make sure the beds are as they should be. I am glad you enjoyed the pool. You are correct when you say there is no direct pool access from the rooms. The balcony access is blocked by a 1300mm high balcony fence. That is a safety measure to prevent young children from freely accessing... More

Not too many options in Batchelor, but this 'Resort' (?) had the basics, reasonably clean, pool which was nice after a hot day out, good breakfast and a good steak in the restaurant. Hint, dont try to leave before 8am as reception is not open until then! Check out night before if leaving early.

The place is all right (somewhat overpriced for what you get) given the possibilities. Choose the pub instead of the restaurant. The latter has the nerve to play in high league but they serve slowly, little stuff, overpriced. The pub is the place to be

Thanks for the comments. The "PUB" as you call it is our public bar as opposed to our restaurant. "PUB" meals also those of the restaurant are prepared in the same kitchen, same chefs, but with differing menus and style of service. I do not understand how you rationalize the restaurant "to play in the high league". It certainly has... More

We knew Batchelor was small, but didn’t realize how small until we got there. The options for lodging were limited, so we stayed at the Batchelor Resort. Checkin had a very small town feel, with no credit card required and very friendly service. The rooms are on two levels around a central swimming pool. Our room, on the ground level,... More

Thanks for a well balanced review. Sorry about the spiders, they have been dispatched. Gecko lizards are extremely common in the tropics. They are also referred to as house lizards by some. Territorians accommodate them as part of the lifestyle. Gecko's high pitched bark during the evenings is a very common sound in most homes in the tropics. All walls... More

No big complaints. Rooms were ok, huge terrace that we shared with friends staying in the room next door. Beds moved, which made me spill a glass of water. Ok swimming pool. Grocery store with very limited selection on the premises, as well as bottle shop (better selection than grocery store).

You must be an interesting spectacle to observe drinking a glass of water! The beds move due to supporting legs being equipped with wheels or glides, a feature not unique to our beds. It allows for ease of cleaning floor beneath. Since many properties have beds which move, some care should be taken with your glass of water, or, may... More

This is a dated motor hotel, not in any way a resort as the name would imply. It was comfortable enough, had a nice pool. But very overpriced for accommodation quality. The motel has evidently had no money spent on it for a good many years. It's like entering a 1980's time warp. Good proximity to Litchfield. Options for accommodation... More

I am pleased you found your stay with us to be comfortable and that you appreciated the pool. If there was a problem with the meal, you should have raised the matter at the time, only then could something be done to assist. Instead, you said nothing. The comfort you experienced was entirely due to substantial money being spent on the... More

After spending the day in Litchfield National Park it was a nice place to come to. Clean and tidy and well presented. The laundry unfortunately was not working. Although the book in the room stated you would have orange juice and snacks on inquiring why we didn't I was informed that it was only for the upstairs rooms and they... More

Thanks for your comments. I am happy you enjoyed both Litchfield National Park and your stay with us. Yes, I had some major unexpected repairs in the guest laundry. It took some days to get it all back to working order, but we are there now. Sorry for that inconvenience. This year we introduced the lower tariff "standard" room for... More
